Haymaker is extremely delicious!I recently went here with my spouse and a group of friends. We all enjoyed it. The customer service was great and the vibe was very soothing and peaceful. It would make a great date night spot.I had the macaroni and cheese, the risotto balls, burrata cheese with bread, and my spouse had the arancini. All of the food was delicious. They make their pasta in house and it tastes so fresh. The Macaroni and Cheese and the burrata cheese with bread and the risotto balls were all delicious. All of the food had the perfect blend of spices and flavor that were wholesome and delicious. Please be warned, the prices are not the cheapest, but it is so worth it. I highly recommend Haymaker if you want delicious pasta and wholesome food!

03/28/2024My husband and I went here for dinner. Stephen was so knowledgeable and helpful. His service to us was spectacular! The food was amazing. We ordered the mussels, fried chicken sliders, and oysters for an appetizer. Everything was good but the mussels were our favorite. For our entrees, we ordered the rigatoni and the gulf prawns. WONDERFUL. The best part was the dessert, the apple bread pudding. We will definitely come back here if we are in the Seattle area in the future.

Unfortunately I was disappointed by the food, especially given the price tag. The focaccia (2.5/5 stars) was better than grocery store bread and while it tasted like it was fresh, it just wasn't exciting, and had nothing in it (eg, tomatoes, herbs). I got the fusilli (4/5 stars $27) essentially a pesto pasta with pine nuts and olives. I liked it but neither the pasta nor the pesto were mind-blowing unfortunately, they were both good but not as impressive as Il Nido, to be honest. The only other dish I tried at our table was the pork belly (3/5 stars $32) which had good farrotto but to be honest was just so different from soft and juicy pork belly that I wish our waitress told us to expect a crisp, crunchy rind. I'm easy to please when it comes to service (3/5 stars), but unfortunately I was disappointed with this as well. They had no emotion or interest in their tone of voice when we asked what Haymaker is well known for. They didn't take notes when our group ordered our five dishes, but came back 60 seconds later came back and asked about two of the dishes. I just expected a little more professionalism at a restaurant at this price point. Where Haymaker wins is the ambiance (5/5 stars) with beautiful clean modern interior decorating. Overall I'm happy I tried Haymaker, but if I want good food in west Seattle I'll be at Il Nido.

Great place! The staff was friendly and informative. Let us know that there would be a gap between appetizers and the Mains. The appetizers were delicious!! The Arancini are these type of hush puppy balls but waaay better. The burrata was so fresh and went well with the fig jam on crostini. They even give you more bread if you ask. Enjoyed the Focaccia too! Those appetizers were very filling. The Steak plates were delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and the fries were seasoned well. I had the lasagna. I sent it back immediately because the middle was Luke warm. They heated it thoroughly the second time around. We finished with a tiramisu. You can't go wrong with that. Drinks were delicious but pricey. Had a great time here

My first few experiences at Haymaker were when they first opened and pre pandemic. At that time I didn't feel persuaded enough one way or the other to write a review because there was nothing that stood out to me- but after my most recent visit I thought I should jot down some notes. I popped in sans baby and husband to unwind after a work event and was thrilled to eat a Burrata appetizer and New York strip all to myself. The accoutrement with the burrata was sweet and I am used to savory, but it was still tasty. The strip was cooked to perfection and I found the bartender to be helpful and knowledgeable when discussing wine pairings with each phase of my meal. Thank you Haymaker!

A really great meal was had here last night. We started with the Burrata which was fabulous. I had the NY steak, you had to order the fries separately. A great portion that can be shared between 2-3 people. Dessert was a delicious tiramisu. Really great quality food.

My wife and I were visiting Seattle for a week and I wanted to take her somewhere special. The Haymaker was recommended by a friend of mine. It was perfect! The atmosphere, the service, and food were amazing! Stephen was extremely personable and created a memorable experience for us. We look forward eating there again to try the rest of the menu.

Mildly posh, par-for-the-course, restaurant and bar. Though, its pretty unique for the area. If this is something you're into, I feel you should know what to expect. But don't be prepared to be mind-blown.

Tried out this spot after seeing it was one of the sister restaurants to G.H. pizza and pasta. Since they didn't have reservations to the other restaurant, we decided to try out this one. The spot was small and quaint with a super cool vibe, decently noisy and more of a casual spot. We had reservations and they seated and tended to us immediately. I love the open kitchen concept because it's super entertaining to watch how the kitchen works and operates. They make every dish to order, so depending on how busy it is, is how long the food takes. The food was absolutely delicious, super fresh ingredients and great flavors and textures. The only thing I'd say is the place has a limited menu, is decently noisy but I think in the end it's worth it. I really enjoyed my dinner here and am excited to go try one of their other restaurants!

I wanted to take my wife out for Mother's Day, but was not sure what our schedule would be as we are in the middle of moving to Portland after 17 years in West Seattle. I was pleasantly surprised to see that reservations were available when I looked Sunday morning, so we nabbed a 6:00 time slot.We have been to Haymaker twice previously and had excellent meals. We just haven't thought of going more often as we love Raccolto and now GH Pasta and Pizza. I have the highest level of General Harvest Restaurants as there is a real focus on the level of food quality and good people. Last night we started with an excellent French 75 for my wife, and I had a Paper Plane. Perfectly balanced. We then split the Arugula salad, and it was terrific. We even brought some home. Then we had the Asparagus. Wow. Great lemon flavor and perfectly cooked. But the real hits were the main courses. My wife had the Cavatelli, and I had the Rigatoni. So good. I actually now prefer the menu offered at Haymaker versus Raccolto as the pastas are just more appealing to me. And the music had my wife singing often. Finally, David was the epitome of a perfect server. He was hosting, bartending, and taking care of us so seamlessly. He didn't appear stretched, but he was wearing many hats last night, and he could not have been more efficient and engaging. If I had to offer one suggestion, it would be to have the windows cleaned better. I realize they are in the worse location when the sun is coming down, but they need attention.Thank you David and Haymaker for making it a special Mother's Day.
