Ahh! This used to be Gino's East, remember that? This is the thirteenth location in the world and the second location in the U.S. I had the Reformed Pornstar cocktail. The staff and service are bodacious.PS. I'm the first one to review.

We ate here recently on a Saturday night. Really enjoyed the experience.Cocktails were good but they are batched, and the menu hides the ball here. I would recommend ordering them a la carte and you'll save a buck or two. The Manhattan combines bourbon and rye, and is excellent. But the custom made Vieux Carre is even better. We'll get back to that.Wine list was good, but pricey. We ordered a St Joseph from Chave, which was excellent. We were eating in the basement, and it was a lovely, high ceilinged room with dark, wood heavy decor. I particularly loved their four top tables, which were round and somehow combined roominess with intimacy. They were gorgeously constructed of solid wood with cherry (I think) finish. The chairs were luxuriously upholstered, and service was expert and attentive. The shrimp cocktail came with an outstanding chili crunch cocktail sauce. It had an elegant spicy complexity that lingered over your tongue, more caressing and luxurious than the usual one-two punch to the sinuses delivered by horseradish. Highly recommend. For dinner we split a 14 oz Chateaubriand with mushrooms Diane and mac and cheese. We did not order the fries but we wish we did, they looked great. The mushrooms and mac were both delicious appetizers, the mushrooms in particular had decadent flavor. For the steak itself, it was fine, but not astounding. I don't particularly care for the current trend of charcoal grilling because the outside turns burnt and unpleasantly gritty. Such was the case here. The flip side is that with a larger cut of beef, there is more interior meat which would be tender. The chateaubriand was decent, but they recommended a medium rare temp. I thought that was overdoing it; I would have preferred rare. However the meal did end on a high note as Desserts were AMAZING. I got the Peanut Butter Louis and Kelly got the Plate of Tributes, which are the most delicious rolos you've ever had. The PBL is a decadent peanut butter and caramel chocolate covered candy bar with a dollop of ice cream - peanut butter, I believe, but my memory is overwhelmed by its deliciousness. Two of the finest desserts I have ever had. We ended our night with a Vieux Carre and a Last Word, and our bartender was so excited by our Old School classics order he brought the drinks out himself to congratulate us.We had a fun time, we'll be back.

Really 4.5 but not a yelp option.Second night of their open. Food solid, staff working very hard. We played a bit of a game of "who works here" because with a pack of any uniform consistency and the massive numbers of staff, if was confusing to figure out who was a manager and who was looking for the restroom.Only the basement floor is open. Beautiful rehab. Excited to see what is on 2 and the private party space on 3.Valet for now only $18 which is a bargain in the area.We were told to order everything as early as possible because steaks require 45 minutes. It was not busy at opening weekend so I imagine the prep time will only get longer as they get fuller.Vegetarian in the party thoroughly enjoyed the fake wellington. Steak lovely. Mushrooms heavy and watery at the same time. Strawberry pavlova sooooo strawberry. Each of their restaurants focuses on a different region for liquor. They are building an Irish whiskey offering. Still dealing with vendors so tbd.LExcited to see where they take this after finalizing staff counts and recipes.

I think there is a special place in my heart for charcoal grills even though I don't own one. I have been awaiting to dine here as steak restaurants have become a hot spot for Chicago and this place recently opened up. I like that they sat us at tables where we were a table apart to give people more privacy. Our servers were nice and helpful with recommendations. We also had an Irish and Englishman stopping by the table to check on us. I assume that since the 2 original locations in those respective countries have fellows making sure these new spots are running smoothly. We ordered the beets, chateaubriand, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and the pavlova. Everything was delicious, I would say I might make better mashed potatoes though. The meat was so tender and juicy. The dessert was so flavorful and unique and very pretty too. We would love to come back.

Everything was delicious, and service was on point! We did a ribeye by the ounce, Mac and cheese, potatoes, steak tartare, the beef pudding (INSANELY GOOD!) and everything was wonderful, except we didn't care for the potatoes much. Wonderful, beautiful space. Clean, service top notch and absolutely delicious cocktails. Also - the price was right.

This restaurant was not what I was expecting - elegant, classy, tasteful, & British! My favorite appetizer is the potted beef & bacon (make sure to break the Yorkshire pudding apart then add the beef and bacon each on top). The vegetarian Wellington was my favorite dish, so flavorful and stuffed with different types of mushrooms. Everything was excellent, the beet dish is very tart I enjoyed them, but the other members of my party did not (so very specific tastebuds). Our server (I'm blanking on his name) was very knowledgeable and gave a very descriptive rundown of the menu before we got started. 10000/10 in my book, I'll be back!

Entered this restaurant, looked nice but very loud. Our first time here, needed help with the steak menu. We ordered the 14 oz ribeye with 6 oysters and fries to share between the two of us. The steak came in 6 slices. Great, I hope it's enough for us. It was tender and not overly seasoned. Just ideal. The oysters were good the fries were excellent. The waiter also gave us a complimentary heirloom tomato salad which made us full. Great steakhouse! Excellent service.

Ordered the dry aged rib chop. It was over priced for the quality of meat you are getting. The meat was tough and too chewy. I could make a better steak at home. Sides were better tasting than the steak which is unfortunate. Not on the caliber of other Chicago steak houses. Might be worse than Outback Steakhouse

We had the burger with beef dip chips. The surprise on the menu was to find a Pavlova which is a delicious but rare item in a Chicago restaurant. And it was delicious. The burgers were thick and great. Burger and chips were quite salty for our taste. The place was great (formerly cable car company).I loved the private rooms for events (2 medium size rooms chic and modern British style and a big ballroom on the top floor)I have been recommending this place so far.Staff super friendly and our server Kimberly was great.Loved it.

Ah it was ok...hmm I expected a bit more in terms of decor but it's part of a chain so it was ok.Service was attentive but sloooooow. Food was good but drinks were a bit skimpy considering price although I did like the custom cube. They did follow my request in cooking my steak so applause for that...sides were mediocre and didn't like that they brought everything out at the same time instead of coursing it out. Too noisy for me...could hardly hear my dining companions! Would I go again...I would have to think about it....
