We rolled through the drive-thru here on our way to the Tanger Outlet Mall in Glendale. It was a half hour from where we were in Scottsdale. We had to get a quick something to quench our thirst and hopefully not pass out before we made it to the outlet, lol. When it's 116° outside, you better STAY hydrated!!So we got a fruit punch and Dole Whip. They hit the spot. I always start to feel a little lightheaded and dizzy if I'm in extreme heat, so a lil sugar fix usually gets me back out of grouch mode. Dole Whip is my jam, and the portion here was just right, and so is the price. I'd pay more than twice in CA, ughhh.Hawaiian Bros Island Grill is reminiscent of Ono and L&L. Idk if they're sister companies, but they serve the same type of dishes. If I come through this area again, I would dine inside to see if the food is legit. The service was great, and we were in and out in minutes. Thanks for coming to our rescue when we were severely parched! Be back soon!

Clean, good service, got our food quickly. Love that they have gluten free options. The mixed veggie, rice and pork combo was delicious. My husband enjoyed his chicken plate. We were also grateful that there are three size options. The small size was more than adequate.

I'll make this short (sweet and a little spicy) as their item description would have you believe. Walking in to this store was like walking into an old western town where the tumbleweed rolls through at high noon. The "server" was nice enough to explain the "self serve" menu. Unfortunately the main reason I came in was to get the Mac salad. They were out.. oddly enough I was the only customer there for approximately 15min. Upon checking out there is a glaring big tip jar on the counter next to where you hand them a form of payment. The chicken I received in my mixed plate was dry and underwhelming. Not sure what the plan of action is for this company going forward. I'd be concerned with Yogis opening up soon not 50 feet away. Good luck!

Perfect example of what happens when a tourist visits a place that has its own culture and food and then decides they own it and open up a restaurant. But they know nothing about how to make the food. Just wanna make money off of someone's language and culture. They don't say any hawaiian words right that they're using to sell this knock off food. Their descriptions don't even match the food - the Huli Huli Chicken is NOT what Huli Huli chicken is or tastes like. Hawaiian word for Huli Huli literally means to turn over fire. Supposed to be roasted juicy slow cooked chicken. Instead it tastes like they precook chicken - chop it up and throw some on frying plate with watered down soy sauce. NO flavor. DRY. All the rest of the food is the same. Have tried 3 different plates - all horrible unless the point of their food is to douse it in globs of sauces they give out. The Mac salad is disgusting it mushes in your mouth like it's spoiled. The staff was so stressed out when I first went during grand opening week - they're throwing out hawaiian greetings that don't sound like they know what they're saying. They want you to walk in door - walk past window for food - go to kiosk - make order on it but you're in way of food window- they squish back past food window to cashier to pay for food. Poor layout and design so stressful.Just went back to get JUST a pineapple dolewhip thinking, maybe that's the only thing I can bring myself to eat there, I was wrong! Cashier was annoyed to take my order. The whole ice cream was hollow - they only fill up outsides of cup - once you take a spoon and open the top of ice cream you'll see the cup is barely filled. They want it to look filled but they cheat you even on that To any people hoping to find hawaiian food this is NOT it! You're better off going to Henry's hawaiian grill or Leo's BBq right down the street. Change your name to Haole Bros - the owners are not hawaiian and this food is certainly NOT hawaiian at all. Sorry to all the people wanting to try hawaiian food - this is not it I promise.

I wanted to go here for the Dole Whip. That was really good. It was like lime pineapple flavor. It looked pretty when we left the restaurant, but it was a little melty in my hot little hands. The pork was decent. Service was nice. No issue there. It also appeared very clean. Buuuuuttttt, the rest of the food? Meh. The macaroni salad was so salty. It was like a salty Mayo mouthful of soupy noodles. Other than that, not really a lot of flavor. Nah bruh. I've been to Hawaii and it was way better than that. Now, I've never been here before but I wanted to try most of everything. I ordered the large plate of each. I was kind of annoyed that there was a lot of rice under the meat to make it look like you were getting more protein than you were actually getting. It was like $17/large plate. I'd hate to see how small the meat amount is if I had the "regular" size. Literally all of the chicken dishes were so so salty. They were cooked fine, just way too salty. I guess some of the dishes were supposed to be spicy and sweet? No. Salty. If you love salty food, bruh this is def your place. Would I come back? Probably for the Dole Whip. Maybe for the pork. Other than that, probably not. There's a Hawaiian place down the street from my house that is less salty, and their Mac salad is decent.

First try on this place in the midst of running errands. Super plain atmosphere both inside and out. Could use some oomph. But we appreciated the Hawaiian tunes. Front greeter was sweet and helpful. Lots of options as far as portions and low carb, etc. We shared a Honolulu Chicken w/veggies and both were super tasty. Fresh pineapple was yummy but we wanted a bigger portion. We didn't like that additional sides all came in plastic containers but they didn't appear to have recycling (we ate out on the patio). They also have a drive thru. We would eat here again.

I was hoping for the best for this place, but I found out it was franchise. I was very disappointed. You can to do a self order. I am speechless at their food. Being part Hawaiian it's a little embarrassing that that's what they think is "Hawaiian" food. The macaroni was not good at all. None of us ate it. We got the pork which tasted after add sauce, Huli Huli chicken was decent, and the lime dole pineapple ice cream (my son liked that). Hands down the best authentic (closest) to Hawaiian food is Leo's.

New place, cool vibe and they're still working out some kinks so be kind.I ordered via the self checkout kiosk which was kind of weird and it still asks for a tip. No prices listed either, they only show once you select something and move to the next page.I ordered the classic Monika Chicken, $12.68 w tax, had great flavor but not spicy at all. Came with double rice which tasted a little bland but still good and a scoop of macaroni salad which I enjoyed.I'll be back for sure to try more.

I should've read the reviews prior to coming in . The chicken was dry and salty. The Mac salad was horrible and tasted like they use a mayo alternative. The girl in the front was sweet and nice, but the food is t that great compared to food on the island. Even comparing to Ono Hawaiian, I would go with Ono Hawaiian.
