Havana

I've been here a handful of times. Since visiting and moving here, many of the locals and friends that I've met here have complained about this place, and I understand why. Unfortunately every time I've been here I've had bad encounters with the staff, from the girls in the front collecting covers and the bartenders inside. I understand dealing with drunk people would be exhausting but every time I've given this place the benefit of the doubt, I've always been disappointed with how the staff interacts with its guests. Many of them seem like they hate their jobs and that could be true, but I don't think it's acceptable to be rude to it's customers. My only decent encounters have been with the bouncers.This place always has a cover no matter how dead or busy it might be. The overall place, is pretty small and the music is decent depending on who the dj is but I've never stayed more than an hour.If you're looking for a place to dance, there are plenty of other places in cap hill that you'll have a better experience at.

I was there yesterday pride Saturday. There was a short security guard at front that was checking ids and using metal detector. I couldn't understand anything he was saying he was drunk. When would ask him question his whole speech was slurred couldn't understand anything he was saying he was a very angry man.

Very disappointing experience. Note that the entry is in the dark alley in the parking lot... very confusing placement. The drinks were fine... it's a club, I wasn't expecting quality cocktails. The music / Dj was sooo bad, just not upbeat danceable (or Latin). The only reason it gets 2 stars is because I appreciated the diverse crowd and age ranges... just a lot of missed potential

This club doesn't feel safe. Two fights broke out simultaneously and the patrons in general were very aggressive. The club feels like it belongs in Oakland not Cap Hill.

A group of girls and I were out for bachelorette party this Saturday, May 1st, and when we got to the door the security guy told us there was cover charge of 15 bucks. We were not prepared for that so we made a joke like can you give a bachelorette discount? And he responded with "If we are talking about a massages, then yeah." His ass needs to be fired! Sexual harassment is not ok! Don't come here!

Solid vibe! Great food! Amazing drinks!Something about this place although there are many other places on the street. Too many amazing cocktails. The whole scene was amazing. Don't miss out on this place.

I had a very poor experience at Havana. The bartender who identified himself as 'Ducky' was extremely racist and rude towards me and my friends. Anytime I asked him questions about drinks, he had an attitude and also got my order wrong. He also made it a point to mention that I need to speak English although I was speaking English. The drinks were also poorly made and were watered down. I definitely won't be returning to Havana.

There is No Disco lights. But it's Free Cover for Ladies before 10 pm. I came on Sept. 29th at 9:25 pm. I came the previous night but no one in the club. So I left and went to another bar and drag show. It's been awhile before Cvid that I've stopped by to dance. I like hanging out on the balcony that has comfortable couches. So the floor is very dark and not as fun as other Dance Clubs that have a few lights. There is colored mood lights changing colors on the 3 areas by the Window. One good thing is this place has large windows that you can look inside without coming in first. The upstairs has cute shiny Macaw Wallpaper. I like parrots. I don't drink alcohol so I can't judge the $8-$12 cocktails. To get a booth, without a VIP Charge, just come before 10 pm. It's empty. DJ Miguel was playing hits and Latin music before 10pm. He turned up the volume after 10pm. The restrooms are clean and there are a lot of mirrors to take selfies in the Ladies Room if that's your thing. I did not grow up with cellphones, so I don't take much Selfies at night clubs to say I'm here and brag.

Fun dance club, best choice in Capitol Hill. The vibe is always upbeat and people are having a good time. I've been to all the dance clubs in Capitol Hill and Havana wins first prize for positive vibe.

Don't come here. Music is trash. Our bartender with two braids was awful. Restrooms are dirty. Too much cover fee for a bad time. Staff is rude af.
