I had a delightful experience at this restaurant for our first wedding anniversary. The cozy and romantic atmosphere set the perfect tone. The gong ritual and detailed explanations of each course added a unique touch. The welcoming drink options, including wine and non-alcoholic elixirs depending on whether you choose a non-alcoholic or alcoholic 5-course dinner. As a vegetarian, my husband was thrilled with the fresh and unique dishes. The highlight for me was the fourth course, a potato-caramelized onion-cashew cheese stuffed crepe with saffron cream sauce, topped with fried parsnip chips--a flavorful masterpiece. Knowing that the micro greens are sourced locally from West Seattle added to the overall charm. The staff were very friendly adding to the whole experience. Highly recommend for a special dining experience.

This was my first time doing vegetarian fine dining, and it was a really unique experience! I don't think there's a lot of fine dining places that are fully vegetarian, or at least that I've come across, so I really appreciated Seattle having this option. The restaurant treats it as a giant dinner party, so all the courses are served at the same time, and the whole evening begins with the soft bang of a gong and a welcome speech by the staff. Honestly, all that being said though, I think the food could have been a bit better. Some of it wasn't as tasty as I expected, but I'm also a picky eater. The dessert for example was based off some pine ingredient, and personally tasted exactly like what you'd imagine eating a tree would be like. Other dishes were astounding, like the gnocchi, but they have a rotating menu based off seasonal ingredients, so maybe you'll get lucky and have all courses of delectable delicacies! Overall, a nice place to try out if you're vegetarian, celebrating an occasion, and want something fancy.

Such a fun experience! I have never been to a multi course dinner before, so this was special. The food is plated beautifully and a lot of thought goes into each course. The tables are beautifully set and the ambiance is lovely. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I didn't enjoy one of the courses at all (luckily it was the 4th course so I was already pretty full). The elixers were a lot of fun as well! Definitely a restaurant I would recommend for healthy, inspired vegan food.

Booked a reservation here a few days ahead of our 3-month wedding anniversary (who doesn't love to celebrate?) and we had an amazing time! My husband is vegetarian, so it's always nice to find spots where he feels included and gets to enjoy the full menu. This spot was recommended to me a little over a year ago, and I'm so glad we fit this in before we moved out of the area! I must've walked by this restaurant half a dozen times without realizing, it's quietly tucked alongside all your other popular Wallingford spots. Make sure to make a reservation, they do one seating a night (on the nights they're open), and they make sure everyone is seated before getting started. We arrived a few minutes late, but still snagged a prime spot at the bar where we enjoyed seeing courses get prepared. Some of the earlier groups made it to the backyard patio! From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed with a drink (both alcoholic and NA options) and I really enjoyed getting a drink pairing that wasn't wine. Dinner began with a brief background of the locally sourced produce, and I savored every course! I believe the menu changes seasonally (if not more frequently?) and I loved the corn soup and "lobster" mushroom cakes. The only minor hiccup we encountered was missing sauce from my husband's dish, but they quickly resolved that when we asked about it. Overall - wonderful experience and a very reasonably priced ($300 range) delicious celebratory night out for two!

Fantastic experience. Amazing food. Interesting atmosphere. It's chilly inside so dress warm. The end of the meal felt rushed and the meal started with a big low bell being rung and a speech - so maybe there should be a more formal ending ceremony for balance. Very expensive but feels worth it.

UPDATE: NOTHING'S CHANGED. IT'S STILL F'N AMAZING!! GO ... GO NOW ... MAKE YOUR RESERVATION!! I've been coming here since 2016 anytime I'm in Seattle and it has NEVER disappointed me. Everything has been so lovingly crafted and I always am blown away at the flavors of each course and the pairings that go with them. A real gem this place is. May they carry on this work forever. I will be back next time I'm in town!

I have zero photos of this place. It's a rare moment for me as I was so captivated by the experience of it all that I didn't take the time to snap any! The food was phenomenal. The flavors are killer, service is friendly and wonderful, I mean honestly you just have to experience it. The place is pretty cozy and good to go for a date, which we did! This is a reason to visit Seattle, not just a place to eat. Vegan or not, you need to book this place.

The food here is quite a treat as they use local and unique ingredients and combine them in a way that I would've never thought of. However, the pace in which they serve the courses is quite slow, as they take about 20 minutes in between every course. Further, for a fine dining restaurant, their presentation could be slightly improved -- some wine glasses were dripping, other plates had sauces all over them. Lastly, I did not leave full from here as I have from other fine dining restaurants. With all that said, I think it's worth going for the experience, but expect to leave a little hungry. The wine pairing was phenomenal and not too pricey!

Five-course, prix-fixe, vegan dining that was impressive. Made last minute reservations via Opentable. We had trouble with our Lyft getting there, and it felt like everyone was waiting for our arrival to begin. Yikes. Small intimate setting that is warm and inviting.I opted to do the wine pairings with the meal.Prior to the start of dinner, Head chef came out and described each dish and explained which farms the vegetables or fruits came from or were foraged from and introduced all the cooks and servers, too. Nice introduction of everyone.1st & 2nd: Local corn chowder topped w/applewood smoke corn alongside heirloom tomato salad w/fresh fennel, pickled red onion, lime, glazed melon in a miso yuzu vinaigrette3rd: Tamari marinated beet poke & black forbidden rice on grilled baby lettuce w/shishito peppers & pine nut wasabi creme topped w/wakame & toasted sesame4th: Wild foraged "Lobster" mushroom cake with fried garlic green beans & German style red new potato salad finished w/house pickle remoulade5th: Vanilla bean panna cotta with wild foraged huckleberry gelee & peach preserves topped with cinnamon streusel.Menu was inventive and delicious. Service was excellent. We had a great time.
