Harvard House of Pizza is a good, reliable neighborhood pizzeria. I used to go all the time when I was in grad school here and was glad to find it in the same spot making the same food when I returned to Cambridge this year. Pros: Harvard House of Pizza is conveniently located, fairly priced for the area and service is fast. The menu is pretty standard for a pizzeria--pizza, salads, and different fried appetizers. They also sell pizza by the slice. The food is usually consistent and I can always count on them for my favorite items--a pepperoni pizza and fried wings. Cons: The pizza can get a bit weighed down if you get too many toppings on it. It can also be a little greasy, especially if you need to reheat it.Bottom line: Good neighborhood spot, definitely one of the better pizza places in the area.

Such kind people work here, have shown me great hospitality. My bf and I went here every couple of weeks over the summer for their large pizza...it's an amazing deal for the 1-topping (or 1-topping per half) pizzas! Our go tos are Italian sausage or gyro (super unique pizza topping and so flavorful!). This pizza is definitely on the oilier side, but we loved it that way :)

Harvard House has really earned my love over the years. It's not the best pizza you can get, but it's exactly what a local pizza place should be: delicious, cheap, and open late. The pizza options in Boston are just not that great, and this place punches way above its weight class: the pizza sauce is top-notch, the pizzas don't skimp on cheese, and the crust isn't half bad. Calzones and sandwiches are terrific. Solid place all-around.

I hate to write this but...but after ordering food once a week or so for the past few years, now I kinda dread calling good 'ole Harvard House. Or even going in to pickup. At this point, we hang up and move on to a different restaurant when we call and she picks up. Oy! I feel bad for criticizing an employee that is overly...exuberant? Enthusiastic? But the young lady that works there at the front answering phones and handling the payments...she is incredibly exhausting. Her wild enthusiasm and crazy greeting: HEEELLLLloooooooo and thank you for calling HARVARD HOUSE OF PIZZA!!!! (like a late night talk show host) was cute once on a Saturday night, but every single time we call now is just too much. Sometimes she puts us on hold which means the phone is set down on the counter and you hear another customer's order and all the needless suggestions she gives to them - just like us. Once on the phone with us, instead of just listening to the customer trying to just state an order, she keeps asking ok, do you want this other thing too? (no I told you what I want). How about this? Eep. If a customer calls ordering a large pepperoni pizza, the employe should NOT keep asking if you want other things: "do you want onions?" (no) "ok, do you want peppers?" (NO!)I want a pepperoni pizza! If I wanted onions or peppers I'd say:I want a pepperoni, onion and pepper pizza! Just TAKE the order as given! Sigh. The guys that used to answer the phones handled an order in about 15 seconds. Every call to Harvard House now is about a minute and a half. And now the payments: Rattling off the price for cash payment or credit card payment makes me want to cry. Especially in her hyper chirpy voice. Again, I really hate to complain about this, but if she just toned it down a bit, and make the ordering and paying process simpler, it would be fine. Maybe she's just excited to be working there (but it's going on a loooong time now)? ***We've tried setting up an account online to place the order on the website. It's never worked. Sigh. Maybe things will settle down. She seems like a sweet girl, but if she could just relax a bit, take orders and lower the volume and overall wild vocalizations we might all be ok.

Okay, I am originally from New York and this seriously MIGHT be better than New York pizza! If not, it's a tie!!! This pizza is SO GOOD!!!!! It's also priced like old school pizza place prices! Two slices and a bottled drink for $5.50, you can't beat that!!!!! I have not had pizza this good in years! It is perfectly crunchy, cheesy and delicious!!! The crust is crispy but not rock hard or chewy! The staff were super friendly and helpful and it's in a great location! If you are wanting pizza GO HERE!!! It'll be the best decision you make today!!! I also got a slice of their cheesecake and it was wonderful too!!! This place is the best!!!

First time order from here and I just have to say, this is how proper pizza is done! Unlike the other pizza places in the area, this place is authentic and appropriately priced. The ingredient portions are plentiful and as someone who often opts for a GF crust, I'd have to say this is the best GF pizza I've had! It's good to know that the quality and quantity aren't lacking when it comes to their ability to accommodate for allergies/dietary restrictions. New fave spot!

I've seen an employee making a sub, walk to the front door open it with the sub roll in his hand and went right back in to stuffing the sub. To touch a dirty door then to touch someone's food is crazy.

The pizza is not great and the ambience for eating inside is... lacking. I was really uncomfortable eating pizza here. The workers will stare at you while you are trying to eat in a very uncomfortable and rude way.

I waited for close to over an hour for my food. The delivery guy didn't offer me my change back and gave me nothing back for my $30 order and assumed tip without even asking me. The pizza isn't even all that.
