Harumama Noodles and Buns

A cute casual place to get some ramen! The service was excellent - folks were incredibly nice my order was taken quickly (and with constant refills of water)! I came during lunch and the lunch special is an excellent deal - well worth the price. The patio area was really cute - would hihgly recommend sitting there if you have the option. I ordered the kimchi ramen and it was solid. The broth was tasty and the noodles excellently cooked. The kimchi was heated instead of being added at the end completely cold, which I prefer but that's a minor concern. I also had the pork belly bun and that was delicious - would highly recommend getting even outside of the lunch special.

Prepare to wait on the weekend. There's a waitlist. The food is good, but I've had better. Everything was cute and overpriced. The broth had a weird taste, but it was okay. The buns were small! I could eat at least 6 of them to be satisfied. You're just paying for the animal art. They took forever getting our food out...The restaurant was pretty with nicely decorated plants.This place is overrated. All hype.Free parking only on the streets. If you shop at the organic market next door, then you can park in their lot.

I came solely for the cute character buns. I ordered the 2 pcs (chicken and cow character buns). Although I do think they are very cute, the flavor wasn't that great.. I think I liked the cow one a tad bit more. Probably wouldn't order it again. We also ordered the bao buns (crunch shrimp and karaage chicken). I prefer the baos buns over the character buns. One of them had a weird wasabi aftertaste that was off putting to my mouth. They accidentally brought out the wrong bao bun and when I told them, they quickly apologized and brought out the correct one to me. Mistakes happen. All good. I did enjoy the crispy crab wontons! Maybe next time I'll try the ramen. They don't sell sushi anymore (which was kinda disappointing considering I was browsing through the pictures on Yelp). Julian (server) was very personable and outgoing. He was attentive and apologetic about the mix up. Overall, just average. I think it's great for kids though!

Lots of flavor. We tried a variety of ramen dishes. Flying Pig, Crispy Chickie, Harurmen, Pork Gyoza, and the buns...The service was great! We opted to sit in the outside patio which was perfect.

Food and service were great. The animal baos are pricey but they're too cute to pass up... You just have to get them all! Would definitely recommend!

Me So Hot! Ramen had a good spice and flavor plus I really liked the brussel sprouts flavor. It is nice getting the soup and noodles plus fixings separate. Chicken Karaage was disappointingly cold, hard and dry without much flavor in my opinion. This was my second DoorDash order from here. YMMV.

Pretty good overall! The pork broth was a little bland in comparison to the spicy peanut broth but we ended up mixing the two together and that was pretty tasty. The bao buns were delicious- the chicken better than the shrimp.

Really liked the pork belly buns, and character buns. Ramen noodles were solid, ambiance was pleasant. Service was good. A nice spot in ocean beach area. Definitely would go to again when I'm in the area.

I had seen Harumama popular for their character buns and cuteness which was certainly a leading factor into why I decided to try. I ordered ahead and it was very easy and quick to pick up (don't forget about the cute t-shirts, stickers, and pins they offer). The food was delicious, we ordered the teriyaki salmon and veggie ramen. The roasted veggies with the salmon are phenomenal including the salmon itself, of course. The veggie ramen is a must for all vegetarians/vegans and those looking for plant based options. It is SO flavorful with the garlic oil and coconut broth!
