Harry's Sandwich Shop

Been wanted to try this great sandwich shop after seeing one video about it and realizing I had walked by it and missed it so many times. Harry's is tucked into the Monadnock building (which is super cool architecturally by the way) and it's just a cute lil local lunch counter with your classic sub sandwiches! I was surprised they had smoothies too. I got the torpedo regular size and it came out to about ($12). It was a good filling lunch!! I like they have smaller options too. The service was great and you can tell this is a staple restaurant that has been around a while. Really good and will definitely be back!

I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to sandwich shops, but I'd say Harry's knocked it out of the park! Today there was a "short staffed" sign on the door, but they totally could've fooled me. I got my sandwich quick regardless of the 5 people in front of me. They put an oil/vinegar on the sandwich that adds a nice kick to it, especially if you get onions. If you get a sandwich, I recommend getting it toasted. While you wait, you can check out the pictures inside and/or look at the large menu and smoothie options. It's a cozy little shop with a lot of character, and I will definitely include this in my lunch options going forward!

Idk why the overall score for Harry's is so low??? All I see are 5 star reviews and it deserves it!!!! This unassuming sandwich shop is serving up DELICIOUS, bouncy, flavorful, SCRUMPTIOUS, fresh, juicy sandwiches for the downtown weekday lunch seeking crowd!!! It's tucked away in the Monadnock building but y'all it's cute, it's cozy, run by a sweet couple, the sandwiches hit the spot, and they are a local Chicago business that's been around for DECADES. please show some love to Harry's sandwich shop, imma start going for breakfast regularly!!!

Walked in on my lunch break. I'm the only customer. Ordered corned beef on rye with cheese, onions, mustard. To go. What's more basic than that? Guy at counter writes it down. Hands order sheet to sandwich maker two steps away. A few minutes later, counter guy hands me a bag. Get back to work. Sandwich is corned beef, mayo on rye. My break is short. I can't go back to exchange sandwich. Conclusion: Harry's fails at the most basic things. FAIL

For a family owned small business operation, these sandwiches can hold up to any Italian deli in Chicago. The Italian and Turkey & Ham on French bread are second to none in the loop.

These are delish sandwiches! The people that work here are very nice and friendly! And I love the location in the building! Very cool and historic!

I'm not sure why the reviews on this sandwich shop are so low. I had the Italian beef today and it was amazing. It was the perfect combination of spicy (just a little) and savory. I loved all the ingredients they put on it. Amazing service workers and clean restaurant. I will be going back again during my lunch break. Absolutely recommend!

So that's what a real egg tastes like!It's amazing the difference between what I got and the flash frozen microwave breakfast sandwiches from the typical Dunkin' and Starbucks. It was hot proper like you'd make at home and the people were super nice and friendly. Love to see true small business doing it right. Will be back.

I order my usual and it never fails to disappoint! Love everything about this place and have gotten to know one of the employees working there--Sergio! Such a delightful and caring man :)! Always a pleasure coming in !!!

I don't know how this place does not have 5 stars. I haven't enjoyed a nice sandwich in a long time. Perfect size, amount of ingredients and price
