My partner and I just visited Chicago for the first time last week. We were craving steaks and came across this restaurant. We went in not expecting anything. Let me tell you the steak here was delicious!!!!! Everything we ordered exceeded the expectations. Our servers were very professional and friendly. We even got a tour of the speakeasy they have there "Nittis Al Capone hangout spot" Would definitely go back and recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our food and service here. Met a family member in town for work and it was a great choice. Really enjoyed our steaks (and the butter options with the steaks) and the sides.Mom pov: it worked well to bring our baby in a stroller on a Tuesday night. There was enough room to pull the stroller up to the table. There was a changing table as well.

Great food, good service, nice ambience as well. To me, the highlight is actually the building and the history. If you are into mob history in Chicago and on a short trip, and don't have time to do a mob tour, this is a good place to get good food and feel like you did the mob tour. The basement here has a lot of narrative and videos about the building and its prior owners. Coming back to the food, everything was good. I got the filet Oscar which is a filet mignon with a crab cake and asparagus. The crème brûlée was really large though so definitely an item to share at the table. Overall, good food and service as well.

" Holy Cow!" My favorite baseball broadcaster. Made a visit here to attend a special event in honor of a friend. The Chicago sports teams history on fulldisplay downstairs. Working our way upstairs to a private dining room with a bar and slew of appetizers. Some of my favorites were the coconut shrimp, filet sliders and the meatballs. An awesome place p oh Ace honoring an awesome sports icon. Here's to you Harry!

We came for classic Italian food and were not disappointed! The food steak was well seasoned and cooked. The tiramisu and creme brulee were excellent! The espresso martini was just ok, I'd probably get wine the next time we visit. The service was friendly and very attentive. They have a romantic, intimate atmosphere that's great for dates. Overall, I really liked our meal and the experience!

I chose this restaurant based on a food blog for Chicago and man am I glad that I went. I did go in blindly, not realizing how expensive that it was, but let me tell you that the food was beyond my expectations. When you enter, you will be seated in one of the mini rooms and I will say that it is a loud restaurant. All of the waiters where Butcher white coats and are all fervently working to get you everything that you need. We started with really good heavy drinks and the kids got fancy root beer that they loved. We ordered the calamari which might just be the best I've ever had. With tip, but that did include drinks and an appetizer

Our bartender was amazing. The staff was super friendly and accommodating when I mistakenly ran into the glass door, leaving a make up imprint that will not only last a lifetime in my memories, but I hope the staff as well. When I cut my eye open, they were very accommodating giving me bags that ice and making sure I was OK once I started bleeding whoever cleans that glass needs a raise. Beside me busting my face open the drinks were delicious and so was the food. The bar itself is beautiful, although we didn't eat inside it was nice to see all of the Chicago memorabilia. I cannot wait to go back. I definitely left my mark there.

This is a great old school steakhouse with history and class! The staff greated us quickly and sat us immediately- made me kind of nervous, it was so quick. May have something to do with eating at 6:00 in Chicago. As the night went on, the restaurant got busy. It's an enormous place capable of hosting many a special event!Ah yes and then there is the food..... We started with cocktails and fresh sourdough rolls. The butter could have been a tad more room temperature as it was crumbly going on the hot bread. None the less VERY Good. Our choice of cocktails were the Dirty Harry and Navy Pear Martini. Call me crazy as we love a classic but chose not to order our old fashion and manhattan for these martinis were so tempting we couldn't resist and loved every sip! Bravo! The waiter suggested to order the calamari as it is the best he has had - and he didn't lie. This was so crunchy on the outside and delicately tender on the inside I thought it was melting in my mouth faster than the endless supply of butter on the warm bread! Score........Next we chose to have the BLT Wedge for salad. I liked it without complaint but thought it could have had a sharper tangier blue cheese dressing and maybe add some chili flakes - BAM! It was on par with many others not stellar. I'll try something else next visit. Now for the main course, 1) my glass was now empty and I was salivating over the incredible California Wine list. I should have brought some because this was a great list but I wanted bigger.we ended up pairing a Frogs Leap Merlot with our main course of Kansas City Strip and crispy Brussels sprouts. Nirvana! Wholly blow your mind! We split the steak and sprouts - and begrudgingly I shared the bottle of wine. Ha ha. It was a feast and very enjoyable. Lastly we had dessert. I think that if we didn't share all the prior dishes we would not have been able to indulge further. But we did and were pleased with not sharing our desserts. We ordered a flourless chocolate truffle cake and key lime pie as suggested by our waiter. This time his opinion differed from mine. Primarily because I was still consuming an incredible merlot that only further enhanced the chocolate truffle! All in all, this was a great historic steak house to enjoy! Forget about modern, noisy, bright lights, booths and all the other distractions, this is all about the prime cuts of meat, wine selection, old school ambiance and a dingy but regal place to enjoy a fine meal!
