My wife and I went to Harper's for a date night while in Nashville and were very impressed. The restaurant itself is situated at the bottom of a building and had a patio for corporate events off the front. Behind the hostess stand is a gorgeously ordained restraint with dim lightening, ornate wallpaper, and all the luxury you would expect of an American steakhouse. Service was generally very good. I felt our waitress was attentive and kind, and when they were out of a specific type of wine, she made reasonable suggestions and let us try an alternative. My wife and I were very pleased with the drinks. I especially liked the wagyu washed old fashioned. In addition, the wine menu was pretty good, though most of the selections were from out of state. Food was phenomenal. The A5 wagyu slab was delicious, and the sides were generous and tasty. The macaroni and cheese was especially memorable. For mains, I had the filet mignon and my wife had the elk. Both we thought were seasoned and cooked beautifully. Price wise, Harper's is not cheap. It is a typical American steakhouse. Expect around $200pp with drinks. All in, I highly recommend Harper's to those in or visiting Nashville.

We made reservations for a birthday dinner, and they customized the birthday girl's menu which was a nice touch. Our server was great, but we spent over 3 hours here, mostly waiting for our food. There were some mishaps with the kitchen, but they gave us complimentary champagne and dessert to make up for it which was nice. We got the Beef Wellington Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and Oysters for the table. The dumplings had good flavor, but it was cold. The tartare was fresh, but the ginger flavor was overpowering. I didn't think the oysters were worth the steep price. I got the Rigatoni alla Vodka for my entree. It was good but nothing special about it. The best parts of the dinner were the sides: mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The crème brûlée was amazing as well. It was a dinner and a show as they torched it table side! Overall, I didn't think it was worth the money and wait.

We were in town for a night and wanted a nice steakhouse-y restaurant to eat at. This place came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! Lovely ambiance, food was SPECTACULAR, drinks were good, and dessert was a delicious. Come hungry!Last thing I'll comment on is the service, which to me sets apart great restaurants from excellent ones. Each team member we encountered provided us with superior service.

Obsessed with Harper's! They are in such a gorgeous building with large windows. The interior has been decorated so beautifully. The service is fantastic the second you walk through the door, too! They really take care of their guests. My favorite was the tuna tartare, which I need to get again ASAP! The elk wasn't my favorite but I think that's because I don't like elk. Nothing on their end! Next time I'll try one of their MANY cuts of steak. Also, save room for dessert! The butter cake is delicious but the crème brûlée is the best in town!

We went two weeks ago to celebrate my hubby's great news at work. This is in downtown but little away from crazy busy part of the town. The ambiance gives you the feeling of Manhattan midtown restaurants. Food was amazing. We had the Lobster Bisque which was way better than what I had in Boston. Steak was great! We will def come back to celebrate more good news.

The ambiance is intimate with dim lighting but also guests are separated out so it feels like you are the only one there. We came here for a birthday dinner and though the host was great, our food took so long to come out. There were also a few items we ordered that they later told us sold out. The tuna, mash potato's and crème brûlée stood out the most to us.

The atmosphere and lighting were perfect for an intimate date night. Service was fast and they even let us order Oysters Rockefeller even though they weren't on the menu anymore! We went for our anniversary and they even made that special!

First time here and it won't be our last. We went on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. Our waiter was phenomenal. The food was top notch. The fries were probably my favorite. Big potato fan here. It was quiet, open, cool decor. Love the setting. Excited to go back.

We walked to Harpers from our hotel & only did Happy Hour which is served M-F 4-6pm. The restaurant & bar were both very nice. I had a few glasses of champagne. My hubby tried the Drinking Glass cocktail which had bourbon in it. Our bartender mentioned it was a little on the sweet side & offered to modify it so as not to be so sweet. Anyway he liked the modified version & we loved that the bartender mentioned that ahead of time. He's not a fan of sweet drinks :) As for food, we ordered the filet sliders which were good as well. Would stop back for dinner next time we're in town.

Was a great fine dining experience. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. The lamb chop appetizer was very good, my 6oz wagyu was very good and buttery but I would recommend getting medium if you get 6oz because of the way it's cut, it was a little too under for my liking personally. The crème brûlée was delicious as well. My date ordered the elk with chimichurri and that was super tender flavorful. It was a little too cold for me inside the restaurant but the vibe was still really nice, fancy but modern.
