Harold's Chicken Shack

Watered down mild sauce. Prices too high. My fry's were pink because the sauce is so watered down. Hard Pass! Go to Marianos and get a whole cut up fried chicken for $7.

Yup! Just as expected and worth the hype. My experience was awesome and that was some good a$$ chicken. The honey biscuits had just finish baking and they hit home!! Lady was super friendly at the front and patient with a crew of out-of-staters.

Nasty nasty nasty. The cook don't wash his hands they always get your order wrong and your name! The French fries were under cooked. I was standing in line and a costume a lady said look the cook. The guy making the food. Just came out grab the box and mail from the mail man walked back an started making people food with out washing his hands. We all just walked out. It was like five people in line. Everyone left!

It don't taste like Harold's. Maybe it's the sauce but if it wasn't called Harold's I would give it a 3.5 but I'm mad cause I paid for Harold's and the sauce ain't it.. it's watered down fasho

Fast service and open late. very thankful they were open after 9pm. Easily open the latest out of all Harold's

Just had my chicken delivered. It's m so disgusted. Not only was the chicken not fresh ( the meat was gray in color) if that's not enough, I bit into a thigh, there was blood.Never again. I tried calling to complain, no one picks up the phone.0 stars

Yuck! What has happened to this place? They must've changed cook? I used to love this place. My wife ordered chicken at the Harold's on 55th near Indiana, and the chicken tasted dirty. The wings still had feathers on them, and the fries were recooked, burnt and cold. It was disgusting! When my wife took the food back, the cashier said, oh we don't take the feathers off the chicken when with get it. We just rinse the chicken cook it and sale it as is. We requested our money back, and they gave us a refund.

Let's see where should I start with this review.. I come to this location at least a few times a month because of the bar next door. Every time I go and Ernestine the cashier is in the front there's literally always a problem. I approached the window and she gives me a blank stare, I proceed to ask can I place my order because she didn't acknowledge me she says no. Ok... after her sarcasm I wanted to order a 4 wing with mild and hot on fries only. She looked and paused and said I can give you the sauce on the side but y'all want me to stop all of the orders and take all of that time to move your chicken and dress your fries only. From my experience, the cook will normally dress the fries and put the paper between the chicken and fries so I'm not sure what the disconnect was. So we started going back and forth because if you know you know the fries will be nasty with the sauce on the side it wouldn't be the same. If you can't take 2 secs to dress my food as requested I'd rather spend my money else where. Let me not forget to mention the whole time she's going back and worth with me she has her mouth full of food. So not only are you trying to be rude and nasty but you have the nerve to be talking to me with food falling out your mouth?? That's not even sanitary!! But you have time to eat but you can't dress my food as requested??? Aww okay.. Then I get my food and it wasn't fresh at all.. that chicken had been sitting there a good 15 minutes. Oh and let me not forget my meal was $9.92, they have a $10 policy for credit cards and debit cards. I get a service fee but a $10 minimum can't be waved for $.08 is crazy to me. All and all I'm extremely disappointed in my experience. I support this location because I'm more than familiar with the property owner but whoever this location is ran by needs to tighten up this establishment. *the only reason I added a star was to be able to even post the review. I would've left it blank if I could've.

The order that I placed was taken and then once I arrived at home with my food I realized everything I asked for was made incorrectly. I ordered 4 different sets of wings and each had something missing from what was supposed to be in there would not recommend ordering from or going here!

Great fried chicken, my favorite Harold's because of the quality and the people have also been polite and professional to me. I never hear "we ran out of chicken," or "we only have legs and gizzardsà," like you hear a lot on the Southside at other chicken chain joints. ie POPEYES! How do you run out of chicken, when basically all you sell is chicken? But this Harold's spot never lets me down. And the food is on point, my friend turned me on to it.
