Harold’s Chicken Shack

Naw!!!!!First, I DoorDash my order and it's missing a whole half white! Second the put and teaspoon of the tablespoon of coleslaw in a cup! Third,The Harold's taste was way off, like they bootlegging the brand! Fourth, the wings had major feathers still on it! The breast was cooked well,not really it had that whack non Harold's taste (Like a cook from sharks bought a Harold's and cut out sh@t to save money).... This not good This Sucks!!!!! Yuck Booger Soup! Couldn't even finish eating!

The food was decent. The young lady passing out orders was rude. I ordered online and went in to pick up. When she passed out another customer's order she said "here " and placed it in the spinning part of the bullet proof partition (i don't know what its called) She pointed at me instead of a greeting me and placed my order through the partition. How can I help you? and thank you would have been more appropriate. Mind you I always tip even though its a to go order. Due to her rudeness I wish I could take my tip back. I understand there is a shortage of "Good help" so I gave 3 stars since the food was decent. Terrible customer service I deducted 2 stars. I'm actually eating the food while I write this review.I'll update this review IF I return.

If I could give no stars, I would. Ordered a 16-piece mix chicken tonight, and it was literally the worst food I've ever tasted. The chicken was refried, hard, and nasty. The bucket consisted of one wing, 2 legs, a few unidentifiable pieces, and 4 or 5 breasts. Most of the pieces barely had any meat under the skin. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old dirty grease. It was inedible. Im beyond disgusted.

well the chicken definitely lives up to the reputation. its so funny ordering here i enjoyed listening to the togo orders being taken in. they were very nice and accommodating to my daughter and i askings. i would definitely come back again the food was hot and fresh. chicken was crispy and fried to perfection couldn't be better. as an FYI to people ordering they take your order literally so be mindful on what you ask for so you not upset better to just ask for everything on the side.. hahah

Always a good neighborhood spot with fast service and tasty chicken. You must get mild sauce on it.

The chicken was not spicy Blam for season, the one on State Street was a lot better more seasoning more soulful. The chicken legs were small size of wings. It didn't have the taste that it's known for and they didn't have any waffles.

I've learned that what's pictured isn't the authentic Chicago way since there's not pepper or extra mild lol but, I live and learn. The food was fresh and did not take long to come out either. The lady working the front is super friendly and I can tell she lives to take care of her customers. But to the food, the food was great. I am not a fan of mild sauce and I need to always get extra mild because I did realize all of my food wasn't covered in sauce. Next time I'll have to try the peppers to have a true experience but the food was good nonetheless. A must try if ever visiting Chicago.

Worst Harolds Ive had. My chicken was lukewarm; was supposed to have mild sauce on it and lemon pepper. No lemon pepper. not enough sauce to barely cover the chicken, no extra sauce on the side that I paid for and literally a teaspoon if that of slaw. When I tried to call the message said the VM was full. Sad service and I will NOT be back.

This is the worst harolds! The staff is rude, don't want to work, and racist to Hispanics....everytime I came to pick up food for work they had the worst attitude, tell me they didn't have my orders and never wanted to help me

I visited this location the day after Thanksgiving, 2022. I ordered twenty-four chicken wings. They were not cleaned, old and overcooked. You can see the copious amount of feathers on the wings in the posted picture. To add insult to injury, to call them expensive would be grossly understating the price. The wings in the picture, along with the others, were promptly thrown in the garbage. This place is dead to me. Don't waste your money. You have been warned.
