Hap's Pit Barbecue

Stop in on a Friday evening around 6:00. Had my grandson and a French exchange student. We all ordered ribs. My grandson said that these ribs are much better than yours (grandpa's) I have to omit they the best ribs that I ever eat. Hap's is located in a new small strip mall along with some other small Resturant's. Service was quick. Plain tables but who cares when the food is so good. Clean restrooms Nice owner who even suggested ordering a full slab and splitting to save a few dollars. Give Hap's a try.

Was in the area for a meeting. I love this place. I got my pulled pork sandwhich and side of ribs. The food has been good all the time. The lady is very nice and remembers customers.

Hap's Pit BBQ has one of the best Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders in Phoenix (as I'm writing this, I realized I forgot to take a picture of my food) First off, it's real chicken, very meaty, which I truly appreciate. They have the choice of either a 3 piece or 5 piece. I usually order the 3 piece because it fills me up, but this visit I wanted to be greedy and ordered the 5 piece with fries. Mark, the owner, is such a nice person.

Awesome quick little bbq spot, in an out quick. I usually get the rib combo for a quick lunch. Ribs are bomb, get em !

First time there. Lousy burger! It was all bun and a skinny patty that was hard as a hockey puck. Nothing on it either except sauce. They did ask if I wanted coleslaw on it as it was the only thing they had to add to it. But you better read the menu carefully as they charge extra for it. Options were that or a bag of chips, corn bread or a tortilla. Really? There's better options on a gut wagon at a construction site. The staff were nice as can be, but that didn't make up for the lousy food. I won't be back.

I've been coming here going to Haps for over 20 years. They have some of the best BBQ in the valley. Ribs and Rib Tips areMy go to here. Don't forget the Garlic Mashers for your side. Great people behind the counter and they get out their orders pretty fast. Nice clean place with plenty of room to sit and eat if you done in.

Excellent barbecue, filled us up. All kinds of meat to choose from, rib tips, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, etc. Very tender meat. Yiu have to try their baked beans. Not ordinary! Yum. Clean facility and very helpful service. Family owned.

Looking for lunch one day and found this little spot. The place is nice , clean and the lady that took my order was really nice. I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of there special beans and a 20oz fountain drink . The pork on the sandwich was good but the bread I had, if more fresh would be really good but mine wasn't as fresh. The beans where good but for the cost of the small side I wouldn't get it again. Fountain was down except lemonade, so that's what I got. It was good. Overall for $18 I don't think I will be back for lunch.

To be fair, I'm from out of town and found this place near the airport. If you're expecting a TX or Kansas City BBQ experience remember you are in Phoenix, and adjust your expectations accordingly. That said the 5 star reviews are probably generated by folks that haven't had great BBQ. y'all got me! I guess this is good BBQ by local standards.

Wow. This is literally the best brisket by a landslide that I have had. Coming in for lunch while waiting on someone at an appointment nearby, I asked for a recommendation from the cashier - she was waaaay more than a cashier. She was delivering the meals to the diners, answering the phones, monitoring the Uber drivers, communicating and greeting all of the guests. I told her I didn't want a sandwich and she gave me a couple of options. I had the half pound of brisket. Then I got to choose if I wanted the lean or the fatty. I chose both and both were excellent. The sauce was good - I wish I had upgraded to try both sauces. But wow. It was all excellent.
