Happy Lemon Del Mar

I had a great experience here at Happy Lemon! Despite having many customers, they processed my order extremely quickly, and it was ready within minutes. By the time I got my table set up outside, I realized they finished my order. Their menu was very diverse and had a lot of options for both food and drink. The ordering process was very quick and efficient. The food was delicious as well. Overall I had a great experience.

I usually really like Happy Lemon, but today was not a good experience. I ordered a pick-up in advance and hen I arrived when I was alerted it was "ready" (which is like 30 minutes later), I was told that my drink is ready but they ran out of boba so I would have to wait an extra 10 minutes. So...my smoothie drink was waiting around and became no longer a smoothie (all watery) and I think they should have compensated me in some way for my drink wasn't ready (considering I had ordered it almost an hour in advance).Also when they did add boba, there was almost none lol (see pic). For spending $20+ on two drinks there should be some more boba lol.I would have appreciated better customer service and some sort of compensation but customer service is not their thang.

Asked for a lemonade with black tea and the women argued that I said green tea. She was so rude I won't be back to this location. I'm okay with a misunderstanding and if she can't remake my drink but to argue that I said green tea so adamantly was weird. Costumer or worker ain't no one trying to fight over tea

So so. The menu is pretty limited/not very interesting andI guess they don't let associates do any modifications to items. I got a mango drink that tasted good but my stomach felt yucky later.

Always a lovely and well-rounded option for boba! I've gotten their strawberry green tea with salted cream multiple times (half sugar, +boba) several times, the salted cream is delicious and the tea/strawberry flavors really come through. Recently I tried the strawberry shortcake smoothie which I would give a 3/5 -- tasted like strawberry milk in slushie form, and a bit too icy for what I would expect out of a smoothie. I ordered it at half sugar which I wouldn't advise in hindsight because it tasted like that just diluted the flavor in the ice.I feel like I should try their lemon series given the namesake of this place but couldn't justify paying $6.25 for just lemonade? A few options for indoor seating, the plaza outside is also a wonderful place to hang out with lots of outdoor seating, relaxed vibes and ample free parking. All in all, great place: wouldn't go out of my way to come back but also wouldn't hesitate to stop by if I were in the area!

Convenient being one of the very few boba spots in Del Mar. the smoothies can be a hit or miss at times because they come out not consistent, sometimes can be perfectly made and others made too watery. I love their milk tea with boba, can't go wrong.

The Boba is so good it's addicting. My favorite is the brown sugar Boba. The service is insanley slow, whether you wait in line or order online. It's so yummy thought but the slow service makes me mad.

Got 2 drinks.Got the Mango jasmine green tea with lychee jelly, 50% sweet. It was not good. Didn't even taste like mango, super sweet.Strawberry black tea, was just ok. Staff was friendly.

i came in 30 minutes before closing and the door was still wide open but it looked abandoned in there. My friend and I stood inside for a good three minutes (a song started and finished) before an employee came out from the back. I ordered a wintermelon milk tea and a matcha latte, both with soy milk. I specifically remember asking for soy milk because the cashier said "the matcha still has a little bit of dairy in it, is that okay?" unfortunately when i got home and chugged half of my matcha, it became very apparent that it was still in fact whole milk instead of mostly soy. it is now even more apparent due to the fact that i am writing this review from the toilet with my lactose-ridden bubbly guts. i could have easily forgiven this dairy mistake, but making me listen to that whole kpop song start to finish at full blast before getting greeted is what made my score get lowered :/

The price to liquid ratio just ain't it. Most of the drinks are $7 now and a huge waste of money imo. Just add some sugar, milk or flavored powder to your drinks at home and you're 90% of the way there. Service is slow and the floors inside are sticky and gross. With no boba in the Carmel Valley area, this is your only option, however I'd recommend checking out other boba shops in either Mira Mesa or Convoy for something for worth your $.
