Happy at the Bay Teriyaki

It looks like 3 years ago I rated this average but now the food quality is garbage. This was the driest chicken teriyaki that I have ever eaten. I could not find one juicy piece. Chicken teriyaki is dark meat. How did they overcook it so badly. They tried to hide it by smothering it in thick sauce.The General Tso chicken was almost just as bad. Soggy, flavorless with no spice to it. How long had this been sitting there? I prefer Panda Express and I don't even like Panda ExpressThe food was ready in 5 mins...now I know why. I guess I got the leftovers from yesterday. I rarely throw food away but this meal went into the trash.

When we shop at the Renton Safeway here then we stop by this terikyaki place for take out dinner. Husband always gets the teriyaki (this time ribs) and I also got the (tofu) teriyaki this time. The beef was a bit fatty and the teriyaki sauce for the tofu (which they kindly put on the side so it won't get the dish soggy) was coagulated and hard to pour. The teriyaki flavor has a peppery tinge to it, if you like that. Always enjoy the accompanying salad and sticky rice. Service is friendly. We don't stay to eat so can't say much about the ambience. Seemed like additional security measures are being taken in this shopping center, so that might be a concern of the shopowners there.

I ordered the kung pao chicken and it was spicy and super delicious! I loved it!! I also got miso soup and it might be the best miso I ever had. It was really flavorful. Some maybe might think it's too salty but I looooved it! I will definitely return. The girl at the cash register was very nice as well.

Our favorite Teriyaki joint in renton! :) Good portions, awesome service, and unlimited salad dressing when you eat in!

Horrible. I'll break down each thing we ordered-Honey garlic chicken: overly sweet, barely any garlic and it was over sauced so the crispy chicken was mushy. Rice was over cooked.Beef teriyaki: teriyaki sauce is incredibly salty, beef was thick cut and nothing special. Rice was over cooked.Crab Rangoon: over cooked, burnt, not a good flavor at all.I will never order from here again, the first time was enough to seal the deal.

I ordered the takeout door dash delivery today. The beef was extremely tough, it had plenty of fat and was not as I expected. I will not be ordering from here again.

I've been frequenting this place since it opened. The food is consistent and good. Portion sizes compatible to most Teryaki restaurants. Inside is small always a table open. Since most order are pickup/takeout. The orders (taken by phone) for pick up have been consistently wrong! Last four orders there's such a rush to get off the phone, order are not repeated back and when asked obvious irritation, doesn't ask a name, doesn't give you a ready time. Today two meals were ordered, upon arrival we immediately knew there was an issue since there was only one box. Only one meal was made. Instead of the order of chicken teriyaki dinner and an order of veggie yakisoba dinner. Ready in one box was a half order of chicken teriyaki and a half order of not sure what with a brown sauce. The total for the one box $17.40. There was no effort made to resolve the error. I didn't accept the order. I like to easily pick up my meals, knowing I'm getting what I wanted. Sitting down and enjoy our meals. To much stress here. Won't be going back.Editing for spelling correction

I ordered the lunch special teriyaki and gyoza for $10.99 and spicy teriyaki for $14.99. The teriyaki and gyoza lunch special was unbelievable a small portion that was not enough to feed a little kid. I felt totally ripped off and they had the nerve to charge me an additional dollar for a to go styrofoam container.

One of the Teriyaki place I frequent here in Renton. Whether you go to the Kent Location (Near Planet Fitness on East Valley) or this one near the Renton Safeway. The Teriyaki is on point at these locations, has the right amount of char that i like on the chicken and the sauce is a nice consistency where it doesn't coagulate upon cooling down.I usually order through an app or will call in an order, the service is prompt and is ready when I have been told that it will be ready.Seating is very minimal and I am not sure if it has something to do with the location (near Renton High School) or if it is due to recovery from COVID. Since I do take out, that's usually not a problem. Other than that, they are fairly typical in how a Seattle Teriyaki joint is set up. Order at the front counter, wait a bit, then your food is ready.Great selection of teriyaki and wok dishes, combos are great! if it's not teriyaki chicken, I am going for the General Tso Chicken. Salad dressing is delicious!Will continue coming here for those days I need teriyaki for lunch, especially since it is close proximity to my office.

My son requested teriyaki for his birthday and there is an abundance of choices around here. I decided to give this place a try since it's so close by. It was very good, everything was made fresh and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely eat here again.
