An insanely tasty family-style Chinese restaurant that seems equally able to deliver American-leaning "Chinese" dishes and authentic cuisine. My family and I sampled:- The Angus beef on rice, with pickled cabbage, veggies, and a pan sauce. Heavenly.- Crispy mixed vegetables in their own pan sauce.- The chiba tofu, with a delicious chili spice finish. - The rice noodles with beef. This is the only one I didn't enjoy - it could really have used a veggie for texture, and the noodles were bland. The staff spoke little English. It seems clear that the QR code driven menu and payment are meant to help diners who don't speak Mandarin. The menu is translated and has pictures of most of the food.Would come here again!

Cute little spot near the end (or beginning) of Harvard Ave in Allston just next to tofu house. This little spot was pretty packed when we came in on a Friday evening, but we were able to still sneak in a table for the two of us.You get this free sweet cracker-like sticks to nibble on as you're ordering food. Adds to the whole cutesy ambiance. We got the Taiwanese fried chicken, beef sour hot pot, and their vinegar soaked potato dish. I actually heard about this place because of their fried chicken and while it was good and hit the spot, it was more like karaage than I would've expected. Nothing wrong with that, just slightly underwhelmed. The beef hot pot on the other hand was superb. The broth was wonderfully balanced with their signature sour taste and it was a lot! We ordered two bowls of rice to buffer the hot pot but each bowl was so perfectly dome shaped it was really two portions for each bowlUnfortunately they were REALLY busy and the potato dish came out very late when we were way too full from just the hot pot and the chicken. We ended up taking most of that home to-go.tldr; neat little Chinese restaurant tucked in the corner of Harvard Ave in Allston. Not mindblowing but very comfort-style food

Homestyle food. Highly recommend the pepper sauce beef. Very tangy and delicious. I asked for white rice and they gave me some dried noodles instead. I didn't say anything , but they noticed at end and gave me a free dessert. A solid spot.

Cute little restaurant with fast and friendly service. We received cantaloupe and sweet crispy noodle for appetizer. Eggplant salad is served cold with a nice garlic flavor. The clay pot sautéed beef was hot, tender with a great flavor. Definitely will be back. Ordering and paying is through phone app.

I've become a regular at this establishment because it offers authentic Chinese cuisine and friendly service. Unlike other well-known Chinese restaurants nearby, securing a table here is easy and doesn't entail a lengthy wait. If you're not in the mood for a banquet-style meal, this is the perfect spot for casual dining. It has a reminiscent vibe of a college dining hall. While they may not offer an extensive menu, the dishes are delicious, reasonably priced, and accompanied by excellent service. The lamb skewers are particularly memorable.

Came in half hour before closing and they were nice enough to still seat us. Inside is very modern, clean and spacious. There is a bar code at the corner of the table, you scan for the menu, order and pay right on your phone when you're done. The owner was very friendly and kind. We ordered the beef noodles soup, Taiwanese fried chicken (flavorful and not too greasy like some others), braised pork over rice (very large order and the braised pork was very tender and good amount of sauce), and the lamb skewers. Everything was delicious and decent sharing portions so you can order a bunch of things to try. There are a lot of items we still want to try so we will be back soon.
