Hanuman Thai Cafe - Kirkland

Very good portions and delicious thai food. I got the chicken phad thai and it was well prepared and had lots of chicken. Enjoyed my visit and will be back.

Not sure why it took me so long to review this place cause I get food from here constantly. Honestly it's probably cause I'm too excited to eat and forget to take pictures of the food. I always get the garlic fried rice with tofu and it's just amazing. Such great flavor and the veggies add a nice crunch. I get it every time we order or go into the restaurant. My fiancé always gets the mango sticky rice. He orders it with the meal so they don't run out cause on occasion they do. It's better when the mango is fresh and ripe like it was yesterday. Such a light and fresh dessert.This is a go to place for us and will continue to be as long as we're near Kirkland.

We've been here a couple times recently and both times our food was very greasy and the reason for the 3 stars. The service has been good.The last time we got Chicken Satay, Pot sticker, and Thai Chili Paste Fried rice with chicken. The food tasted okay but left us with an uncomfortable feeling later.

I dropped in on Mother's Day after calling in an order for my kids and I. The place was slammed but my food was ready and the manager was super cool 30 minutes after I called in.The chicken fried rice and pad thai are so good. Portions were big enough for two so I cut the kids off quite quickly.I go to Hanuman for lunch every few weeks so my positive review is over due. I hope they're around for a long time because it's nice to have their kitchen in town. Something about seeing them running so hard today with all the Mother's Day crowds made me appreciate them more.

Arrived at 9pm to see a sign stating closing at 10pm.We were told they were closing and we could order take out. When we questioned the hours, " he forgot to change the sign", close at 9:30 (again, in 30 minutes) asked if 9:30 meant open til 9:30?Adding this to the a growing list of establishments that are closing earlier (up to an hour) without notice. Taking my business elsewhere..busy Sat night on the Kirkland, losing customers! Zero stars

The garlic fried rice here was amazing !! It is absolutely delicious and flavorful! The portion is pretty decent. The staff were welcoming but we kind of felt they were rushing us to order. The yellow curry was weirdly sweet. Our friend ordered a basil fried rice with chicken and he seemed to have enjoyed it ! Overall it's definitely worth a try! They have decent number of vegetarian and vegan friendly options as well

- small cozy restaurant - We came here on Thursday night around 6pm, and it has one small table for the two of us. The rest of the tables (6 of them) were taken. The waitress greeted us and we sat down, got water and ordered within 5 minutes. The ambiance is quite nice, they play piano music in the background, and people weren't particularly loud. It gives a cozy vibe, which is nice. Hubby ordered green curry and I ordered the yum woon sen salad. Hubby's green curry comes with rice, and it was pretty standard. I enjoyed my salad, it's a bit sour just the way I like it. The bill came out to be around $35 before tip. Even though hubby said this place isn't as good as the two other Thai places in the area, I still had a good time dining in this cozy place.

I just wanted to update my review with a quick mention of their awesome lunch menu, fantastic food and a great way of trying a little bit more for less!! Love love love it and great to see the wonderful brightened interior and a warm welcome as always!

We have been eating at Hanuman Cafe for years but unfortunately we can no longer support this business.The quality/service seems to have declined over the last year or two but we keep coming back hoping it would turn around. (We know Covid/supply issues/inflation etc. have hit ALL businesses hard so we have tried to show grace, understanding, and support regardless of any issues that have occurred.)Unfortunately, it's now time to find a new go-to Thai restaurant.After our most recent order, we contacted them (for the first time ever). We were NOT asking for a refund or anything just reaching out about a side order of sticky rice that was served hot in a plastic bag inside a small take-out box. We have ordered rice from them many times before and prior to this order we have always received a box stuffed full of rice (and it was never served in a bag) so when we opened the box we were totally bewildered/disappointed. I never once complained about the price. I never asked for a refund. I was simply reaching out to understand what had happened because what we got was not at all what we were expecting based on previous orders. In the end, we could have totally overlooked the plastic bag situation... but what lead me to write this review was the absolutely mind blowing responses I received from them. Not only were defensive, dismissive, and extremely condescending, they threw out accusations and assumptions that were wild... to say the least! After reading some of these newer reviews I am beginning to understand that is just how they operate-unfortunately. Super disappointed to have to leave this review. We love to support small locally run businesses... but buyer beware here. I'd recommend checking out how they respond to their reviews and decide if that is the type of business you'd like to support.
