Disappointed. I was hoping for fresh, soft pita but received pita like you would get from Safeway. The hummus is good. The falafel is good. I asked for tzatziki and they gave me a watery, dill sauce. Not good.I want to support this place. I really do. But on my first tey, it's a miss.

Tasty, healthy Mediterranean cuisine at fair prices served up by people eager to please and answer your questions. Walk up to the counter and order off the fast food style menu and then have a seat and wait in the clean, comfortable, but in need of some more atmospheric decor dining area. Items cooked over a mesquite charcoal grill just taste better as it imparts a distinct smoky layer that just can't be mimicked, so even if you just want a burger this is the place. I'd never had a marinated eggplant salad before, but it was sure good, and my friend was very pleased with the colorful Greek salad. The chicken tikka was deliciously mesquity, and we loved our hummus and baba ghanoush artistically plated with fresh pita wedges arranged like star points, and tabouli served with stuffed grape leaves. We were surprised by a complimentary serving of lentil soup that was pure comfort in a bowl. There is a wide selection of menu items to try a la carte or as a meal so be adventurous and try something new and order some more to take home. However, I wish styrofoam wasn't the to-go option since such fare deserves a healthier, classier, and more Earth-friendly option.

Hanging Gardens is just what the northwest valley needed! Great spot to get your fix of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The chicken shawarma is phenomenal, juicy and flavorful! The Don't skip on the Iraqi salad, super simple and very refreshing.

Found this place in my neighborhood when browsing for places to eat on Yelp. Apparently it's been here since January and I wish I had known sooner! Amazing food and service, friendly home town feel, and nothing in this area compares if you ask me. Bonus: Prices are great and they have a little dessert/baked goods counter.

Mesquite grilled kabobs prepared with lots of flavor in the Iraqi style. The rice is perfect and will have you thinking about eating a big bowl all by itself. Baklava is fresh and delicious. Lovely owners and their daughter greeted me. Have a tasty meal at Hanging Gardens then walk over to Pennywise Thrift for a treasure hunt. End your visit with some spinach or cheese pies at Ram's Market (next to Hanging Gardens) to take home. Chicagoan Ram's mother makes the pies and they are delicous.

We came here for lunch. The place is very new, they don't even have a sign yet. It is located two doors down from the subway. It is a family owned restaurant. You order and the counter and food will be delivered to your table. We ordered 2 plates: one entry with lamb Tikka (meat pieces cooked on a stick) served with saffron rice and hummus. My husband doesn't like hummus and substituted with fries. For the second entry we ordered chicken kafta kebab (ground meat with spices cooked on a stick) and asked to add one beef tikka. And I ordered chicken tikka (on a stick option) with a side of bana ghanoush . Baba ghanoush came out first and it was a very large portion. It served with pita bread. I am a big fan of eggplant and really liked it. While we were waiting for our food to prepare, the owner brought 3 cups of lentil soup for all of us. It was delicious! And than meals came out. The portion sizes and VERY generous! The meat flavor was really really good. I tried lamb tika, chicken kafta and had my chicken tika. I loved my chicken tika the most. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly! We have a lot of leftovers, enough for at least two more nights! Nice place!
