Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

Oh man, how much I love Handel's.We have family in the Sacramento area and they have Handel's there, so I was exposed to it before and became obsessed.So naturally when I was one while on our trip to SD, we had to go!I got the Graham Central Station and oh my, it is absolutely amazing, I highly highly recommend that flavor!My husband got the buckeye one, full of candy! One son got the Twix one, which is a vanilla base with candy and caramel - he loved it. There is something about the consistency of Handel's ice cream that makes it particularly special - you gotta try it!

Black Raspberry in a chocolate coated waffle cone. Heaven. It's been a while since I have had this caliber of ice cream. This is the kind of ice cream that will get you refusing to eat froyo. No complaints at all. I'm ashamed I didn't know about this place earlier. So many flavors it was hard to choose just one. Boyfriend ate most of my cone before I could stop him, so he is in approval as well. Will be back!

Stumbled upon Handel's on a Saturday afternoon. Ice cream hit the spot while on the beach. I got the coffee chocolate chip in a chocolate edipped waffle cone. the scoop was humongous so i was glad i was sharing with someone. After I ordered the cashier saw that i had a dog and she even offered a pup cup! Usually at coffee shops the pup cups are little cups of whipped cream but here we got a kids sized sugar cone with vanilla ice cream! My dog absolutely loved it. 5 star service, 5 star ice cream!The shop wasn't someplace where you can go inside. It was an outside stand where you order and leave. There's only street parking and PB was busy on a Saturday.

Come on, guys! Let's mix it up a bit more for the smalls too!That said, the service here is fantastic and keeps the line moving smoothly. Whether they're serving a family on a fun outing, a couple finding true love over a cone, or a long-haired surfer brochacho craving a treat, the staff at Handles knows how to HANDLE IT all with a smile.

So many different flavor and cone options to choose from, it's hard to pick just one! I ordered the pistachio ice cream in a waffle cone and it was stacked! I appreciated the generous amount of pistachios in the ice cream and enjoyed the soft creamy texture, but it had a slightly weird artificial taste to it that I'm not used to. Pistachio is normally one of my favorites, but I would recommend passing on this and trying one of their many other flavors!

My girlfriend was craving some homemade ice cream so we were lucky enough to find this place not too far away from we were staying at and La Jolla. Everything taste really fresh. It was extremely good and we enjoyed it. Parking is a little tough, but what do you expect? You're right there at Pacific Beach so yeah it's gonna be a little tough. I looped around a few times about time I came back. She was walking to the car with two cones of ice cream for us and it was absolutely amazing. I'll definitely come back soon. Great job guys I went with the cookies and cream, and it was simply amazing. She went with some sort of caramel salt something or another and it was very good. Again, everything is very tasty here and will be back soon.

Handel's is a company I knew from growing up in the mid-Atlantic, and seeing if here was a nice surprise. They were well staffed on a Wednesday night, moving the line quickly without rushing anyone. The guy helping me was ready with recs and questions of my flavor preferences, all with a big smile - making a positive experience even better. I opted for a small green monster in a sugar cone - delicious vanilla with cookies, dyed green (your mouth will turn colors). Their small is not a skimpy portion, grab a few napkins and enjoy!

Handels Ice Cream is a must-visit! We tried the Ube, pistachio, banana, and rocky road flavors, and each scoop was a delightful explosion of taste. The staff is super friendly too. Don't miss out!

After dinner me and my girlfriend were trying to figure out what to do in PB and ended up getting Handel's ice cream for dessert! There was no line and they were able to take our order right away. There's no indoor seating, but lots of standing room in front of the shop. The lady who took our order was very nice and offered a pup cone after seeing our dog. It actually caught us by surprise because we didn't even know they offered that! Ice cream was great, dog friendly, and convenient location for us.

Turn any ice cream into a milkshake? Sold!Came here thinking I knew what ice cream flavor to get. Plot twist: they have a ton of flavors. So while I walked ip thinking I would get some sort of peanut butter or cookies n cream ice cream, I ended up walking away with an orange dream cream milkshake. Not the same at all.If you're looking for a delightful treat on a warm day, the orange dream cream milkshake is where it's at. No need to worry about anything melting and getting all over your hands. Easy to consume, easy to hold, and tasty!
