Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream

Oh my gosh! First, let me tell you I'm not even a huge ice cream fan. But I am a fan of this homemade ice cream! Huge fan. They have so many different flavors to choose from. It is not as hard as your typical ice cream. It's soft and full of flavor.Service was super friendly. Had a lot of questions and they answered them all. An added bonus is that they have misters outside for when you are standing in line on those hot days.

When you walk up the business, you notice that there's not any inside seating at all which isn't horrible, but it is when you're in the summer especially down here in AZ. So when you get ice cream here and it's summer make sure you also ask for a cup as my ice cream started melting immediately. The ice cream still tastes pretty good as they give you pretty big servings for smalls and have a massive selection of ice cream to choose from. If you go here I'd recommend getting the Banana Cream Pie flavor as it's personally my favorite.There is outside seating but it's from neighboring businessesThere's a splash pad right in front of the business that kids usually play on.Overall the ice cream is good but come when it's a bit cooler outside as your ice cream will melt fast.

Really Good Ice CreamThis was my first visit to Handel's Homemade Icecream Shop. The customer service at Handel's is great. The staff are friendly and offer suggestions based on your preferences. I highly recommend the Rocky Road ice cream. It's creamy, full of nuts and marshmallows, the perfect sweet treat.You have to stop by, lots of places to sit outside, great ice cream, and fair prices for the portions that they give you

I stopped by here after dinner to cool off on a hot evening and I definitely See why there was a line of people waiting to get some ice cream. I'm also glad I was able to ask someone what size ice cream they got because when they said it was a small I was floored on how big and how much ice cream was on a cone. We ended up trying birthday cake , Rocky road and Black Cherry all which were amazing and so good. The small waffle cone was so much ice cream and a very good price for the amount. All the staff was very quick and helpful as well definitely a sweet spot to check out.

My recent visit to Handel's Ice Cream was a delight. I tried the Monkey Business and Horchata flavors, and both were exceptional. Even in a chilly night like today, I couldn't resist!The Monkey Business flavor featured rich, creamy banana ice cream with a fudge swirl and walnuts, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. The brownie was fudgy. The Horchata flavor had a creamy base infused with cinnamon and vanilla, offering a unique and refreshing twist.Overall, Handel's Ice Cream provided a wonderful experience with expertly crafted flavors. Whether you prefer classic or adventurous flavors, it's definitely worth a visit for exceptional ice cream in a welcoming setting.

Best banana cream pie ice cream one. Fast food great customer service and casual ambiance. Parking is situational on the time of the day but well worth it

I got to try their new horchata flavor and it was so good! The line was a bit long but they did have 3 windows taking orders, so it moved pretty quick. I ordered a small and was definitely shocked by the size I was given. You would of thought I had ordered a large. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and even some non-dairy and vegan options. You can also get your ice cream in a cone or waffle bowl too.

Handel's is a favorite for my family and I was pleased to see this location carried monkey business (my favorite) just like the Surprise location. Unfortunately my kids who live in the East Valley don't have it at theirs so they can only pick it up here. This is walk up windows only at this location, but service is still great and your kids can play in the splash pad in front while you enjoy your treats. So many other great flavors if you don't enjoy banana flavors. The vibe is pretty chill, but again there is no inside seating so during warmer temps be prepared.

On a hot day what could be better than to come to a nice outdoor shopping center and stand under the courteously provided misting system while you order your ice cream or shake or sherbet? I got the pineapple shake and it was amazing - it had the soft pineapple flavor that is associated more with real Hawaiian pineapple versus the tarter variety we usually get here on the "the Mainland." Service with a smile. It's an outdoor line to order and pick up, with plenty of seating in the shopping center itself, both covered or uncovered. There is also a fountain right there for kids to play in.

First time here yesterday. I was not that impressed. My daughter wanted a waffle cone with two flavors, she was told they only do one flavor for the waffle cones. Asked the guy to only put one scoop one the cone and he still put two. I'm sure for some people this is the greatest place, but I don't think I'll be back. I'll stick to the other ice cream shops we have gone to.
