Hanaya Sushi Cafe

It's a small place and run by one person, but it's 100% worth it. Prices are extremely reasonable, portions are generous and then some. I've been there twice and the first time, the owner brought out a free plate of fruit, and the second time when I ordered the nigiri plate, I got 4 extra nigiri.It reminds me of the small sushi bars I would go to in Japan. As it is run by one person, it may take a little bit more time to get your food, but it's well worth it.

I haven't been back in a long time as I didn't think they were open for dine-in. Service was exemplary. The owner runs the place by himself so he typically cleans all the tables at once but because we got there late, he had to clear a table for us. He was gracious enough to give us some complimentary Edamame and watermelon while we waited for our food to arrive which didn't take too long. The portions were large, fish was fresh and everything tasted good. Upon paying the bill, we were also give a little bag of treats to enjoy after the meal. I will be frequenting this establishment more often!

Me and my friend stopped by Hanaya for a quick lunch based off of a friend's recommendation and we already knew it was going to be a good experience going in, but we were still surprised and so happy. The owner was so friendly and attentive, the food portions are MASSIVE. It's like double the food for the price of anywhere else nowadays. Also the gift bags and extra candy he has for customers is such a cute little touch. It's just him running the shop so please go give him a visit!

After years of COVID-19 we finally can dine in with Huisan. The sashimi plate is made of the freshest and tastiest fish. Sushi rolls are fabulous. Huisan is running the place by himself, but his attention to detail and quality of service are above all other restaurants. The restaurant reminded us of our recent visit to Japan. Small and intimate ambiance. While Hanaya is open for in person dining I recommend you call first to confirm they are open as he closes if there are no customers. Takr out orders are always welcome and are of the finest quality.

The interior was too dark, almost made me think it was closed. With some doubt, I ordered a salmon roll to go, but the owner was very kind and the roll was very delicious. All fresh ingredients and well prepared with many small side dishes and even small snacks! Nice place for a lunch

Small little place, run by only one person! He has great attention to detail and the fish is extremely fresh. Your order will be made to order, so there is a bit of a wait, so don't come if you're in a rush, or make sure to call it in 20-30mins before your arrival. We always get the Chirashi Bowl. It's always so fresh and very large amount, could be shared. A great variety of sashimi. The best amount of food for the price you pay compared to other places. We often get to-go and it always comes with some edamame, treats/fruits, and mini water bottle. We've also had other items and everything we've had never disappoints. Absolutely love this place! Highly recommend.

Really unassuming sushi place located across the street from a large corporate office. Because it's owned and operated solely by one hardworking man, our order took way longer than originally quoted, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of food. Portion sizes were enormous and the sushi was surprisingly fresh. I wish the owner/chef had given us a heads up about the California rolls being topped with roe (fish eggs) as unfortunately the kids didn't love that, but otherwise everything else tasted great.Each order came with a box of random assorted Japanese goodies, which was pretty fun to open. Each one of us got different items, as some boxes had green tea, while others had Calpico or water. All of them included edamame, but even some of the candy varied between hi-chews, wafer cookies or gum. Overall, this is a good sushi spot with reasonable pricing. Because it is authentic, there aren't too many cooked options, so just be mindful if you can't handle eating raw fish!

Visited this little sushi joint again on a recent trip. The quality of the fish was just as amazing as I remembered it. Not just quality, but also healthy portions and plentiful accompaniments. The entire shop seems to be run by one guy... he is the sushi chef, restaurateur, and service staff. He is friendly and inviting to everyone that walked in while I waited for my takeout order. If he is backed up with a few orders, he kindly explains the situation so that everyone has correct expectations. Such an easy thing to do, but not something that is done well at most establishments. The restaurant itself is small and has a cozy and authentic atmosphere.

The food here is amazing and underpriced for the quality. If you are looking for a yummy affordable sushi place this is the spot! Customer service is always 11/10 my family has been going to the owners restaurants for 20+ years and we have followed him from location to location, it's that good!

Very nice owner who runs the shop by himself. Got a soft shell crab roll and 2pc scallops sushi. He gave me 3 with extra seaweed salad, edamame, pickles. While waiting he gave me some water even for to-go order. Will definitely come back here and support small business.
