Been coming here since moving to Atlanta. This place is the real deal.I eat a LOT of Korean food. I have family that has lived in Korea, and upon taking them here, they were jubilant that Han Il Kwan stays true to actual Korean food (with some injections of modernity).LA Gallbi is a mainstay and the ban chon are made in-house. Love that they use charcoal. Love even more than the Japchae and mandoo come out perfect every time. Family established and service is both prompt and friendly. No frills ambiance just tells me they focus on what's important - food.Price is appropriate.5/5 thank you for existing - Michelin nod well-earned

As far as I remember, this restaurant is one of the oldest since I moved to Georgia. Recommended by an acquaintance who wanted to treat me to Korean Cold Noodle (냉면), he invited me here. We ordered 물냉면 and an extra serving of noodles (사리). This place is known for its delicious 냉면 and Korean BBQ. The 냉면 was great and refreshing on a hot summer day.I also visited recently for Korean BBQ (갈비). We ordered non-marinated 갈비 for our dinner meeting. The overall service and atmosphere were great.

The quality and flavors of the food was amazing including the meats and the side dishes. The unlimited bbq includes a soup and a refreshing cold tea at the end. The servers were so friendly and fun to talk to. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would love to bring others to enjoy this place too!

Average KBBQ restaurant off of Buford Hwy in Doraville. We ordered the combo for two and it was at best okay, nothing special about it - too sweet, too chewy, and low quality. The server did a decent job and was helpful, but was grilling the meat way too fast, so eventually I told him I'll grill the rest. The side dishes didn't look fresh, but the cucumber kimchi tasted the best and there was no need to ask for any refills at all even though we were hungry. When we left, a lot of meat we didn't grill and half the side dishes...

This is a restaurant that has been around for a very long time.... The quality has really decreased over the years as the price has gone up. SERVICE: busy Sunday PM and only 6-7 waiters for the restaurant. Majority of people were at the bbq side and the regular side was neglected. We even joked that "even if left without paying that they would not notice." We did not have our water filled, we had to physically go up to the back to have banchan filled, no one came to drop off the check/we had to find our own Togo boxes. We then waited in line (behind people waiting to be seated) in order to pay our check -- another 15 minutes. Also I understand why they don't care about giving good service. #1: they are understaffed but #2: THEY AUTOMATICALLY GIVE THEMSELVES 20% for parties 5+. ( again, this whole experience felt very self serve). FOOD: a couple years ago, my uncle found a cockroach in his soup so we were very hesitant about the food. It was not bad ... the GalbiTang was decent (warning: the spicy is SPICY). The JJampong: is very large for one person. The Squid Hotplate was good but not $22 good. This place has really decreased in quality over the years... from their food to their service. For paying $20+ for meals (not to include the forced tip payment system), it is just not a good place.

I went here with a party of three. We were celebrating my friend moving into his new apartment. We got one of the prefix menus. We did not do all you can eat. It was pretty slow at the time and the service was very attentive. The cuts of meat that were served were all very good. As usual with Korean barbecue the side dishes just kept coming. Our server also helped cut and cook our meat. Located right near Buford Highway you know this place is legit.

My friends and I chose the all you can eat kbbq option. They have quality meats with charcoal grills and the complimentary banchan were all delicious. My only disapproval is that the AYCE option comes with a pre-selected platter of meats. Our waiter informed us that we could request specific meats only after we are done with the pre-selected platter. Preferably, when eating kbbq, I do not want bulgogi nor chicken (which is included in the pre-selected platter). If this were not the case, I would give them 4 stars.

Traditional Korean restaurant vibe both outside of the building and the inside. Very delicious Korean food with great kimchi! We had gobchang jeungol (asked for a but mild) and it was very delicious!

Han Il Kwan has become one of my go to Korean restaurants now. The food is fantastic, especially the galbitang and kimchi pancake, some of the best I've ever had. The pancake is so crispy and chewy, and the galbitang is fresh, clean, and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the bossam here, it was a good portion, the meat was juicy and I liked the lettuce wrap and radish it came with. The banchan here is so so and the service can be slow / it can be hard to get their attention sometimes even when it's not super busy but I think they don't have a lot of servers. Overall, some of the best Korean food I've tried in Atlanta.

Banger after banger. We did the AYCE and also got the roseu pyoenchae. The AYCE is a little tricky though. Instead of choosing your cuts, they make you get a portion of all of the meats listed. So we were forced to eat the chicken and marinated pork when all we wanted was the brisket and pork belly. The meats were good but they basically fill you up and you're too full to get more brisket. Allll of the banchan is delicious and the soybean stew is stupid good and spicy. Will definitely come back but prob not opt for the AYCE.
