Hammer's NY Pizza

Wow great pizza and quick. Came in at 7 and they took care of us and the pizza came out great. Well worth getting a NY pizza here! Thank you!

Had a large 'roni.Nice staff, nice pizza. As desired, crust is thin, and tasty, has some crunch and chew. Very easy parking! Easy to find.I think will ask for a little "extra sauce" next time, or at least some in the side. will also probably try just a fresh slice in the store next time.. the 15 minute drive home probably didn't do our pie any favors.We took it home and added our own freshly grated parmesan and Romano and my own hot chili peppers.

Pizza was good and authentic NY style pizza... I appreciate that out on the left coast. Owners/ workers were great. I did feel like I needed to take out an early withdrawal on my 401k to pay the bill. Not sure it's worth the prices charged.

In any beach city, it is almost a given that you will find a number of choices when it comes to pizza - everything from the traditional Neapolitan to those with a unique twist. The city of Encinitas certainly has a myriad of choices. Most of the popular spots have received very good reviews on Yelp.I like Hammer's NY Pizza for its authenticity. There is just something about the beach vibe and enjoying a big slice of a east coast thin crust that always seem to go well together well. Hammer's is a small, take-out only pizza joint that specializes in the famous New York style thin crust pizza with red sauce and Mozzarella cheese. I ordered the Hammer's Deluxe, which is their 18" combination that comes topped with sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, garlic, mushrooms and olives. The slices are huge! Two of them will make for a hearty meal. A little salty, but not too bad.I would order from here again but maybe just with cheese alone or with pepperoni as the only topping. Sometimes less is more.

This is fantastic pizza! Definitely add this to your list of best New York style pizza in north county. Will definitely be back for more!

This store is take out only. The pizza was excellent; I walked in to order and chatted with the owner while he prepared it. Great small local business, you won't be disappointed with his pizzas!

Still awesome but whole pies only - no more slice only (Thanks Covid-19). Pro-tip - call and pre-order to avoid a wait. Also - no gluten-free pizzas....

Good pizza. For people who like a New York style, thin crust with a dough that's got a good bite to it. It's crisp and holds its own allowing you to eat a pizza the way it's supposed to be. You don't have to babysit it and worry about it giving out and going limp. If you have a good dough, a decent sauce, use good cheese and fresh ingredients . You're golden in my book. These guys nailed it. Keep it simple

One of the best in Encinitas. Fresh cheese, dough, sauce - tasted like a true New York pizza. Came out quick and was delicious. Highly recommend!
