Tried out Hamitbach with my friend! I ordered the jerusalem plate at $26. Food is on the pricey side, but it was definitely tasty! I'll be sure to try one of their pitas in the future. Ingredients are fresh.Not sure if there was any complimentary water available...otherwise, you need to pay for beverages.Parking is tough in the plaza.Pay up front.

We ordered our food on Uber eats and they got our order wrong. Luckily we decided to eat in at the restaurant while we were there and they graciously fixed our order.Best thing about this is that they give so many different type of pickles here! We got the asado pita and next time I'm sitting here in person to eat bc it looks so impressive on the platters. The meat was a little cold and a little bland for my tastes but still overall good. I think if they had more sauces like a garlic/yogurt sauce it would be absolutely amazing. There are a lot of local ethnic ppl eating here and for good reason! friendly vibes, clean, and fast!

Yummy!!!We came here for some tasty middle eastern food and they delivered. We sat outside with our corgi Fergus. There are about six outdoor tables and a bunch of indoor tables as well. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. We ordered the schnitzel salad and the chicken thigh salad. Both were very tasty. The schnitzel portion was enough for two and really great for kids who can be picky eaters. I wish they had a self service water station. Other than that it was great!! we will definitely be back to try the plates. They looked amazing!!

Been here twice and does not disappoint. Food is delicious , flavorful and big portions . Staff is friendly , attentive . Place always full but plenty of seating inside and out . Definitely one of my favorite places will definitely be going back

Got the schwarma pita for $21. The portions are generous (worked out earlier and didn't eat breakfast or lunch, came around 2p, was quite satisfied after eating this). I loved that there is a mouthful of meat with each bite. This place must be at least somewhat authentic because when I came there appeared to be many tables of Israelis here (I assume Israelis...I don't speak Hebrew, but it sounds Hebrew. I'm sorry, just digging myself into a deeper hole here...). The wait wasn't long at 2p, the place was still pretty lively. The flavors were good. The ingredients definitely seemed very fresh. I saw other comments say the pita was amazing. For me, the pita was good, but wouldn't call it amazing...it's what I would expect the pita to be. Similarly, the meat and other ingredients inside the pita were also good. Better than most other Mediterranean fast food places I have been to.I would have hoped that the pita would be warmed or toasted fresh but this wasn't the case. It would also be nice if the flavors of the ingredients and the taste of the spices were more pronounced.All in all, one of the better Mediterranean fast food places I have been to, with generous portions. I'd say it's worth a try, but it is simply hard to justify $21 for a pita sandwich at chipotle-style type of place. It is a place worth trying but at the price it is hard to justify consistently returning to.

First time trying this place and wow! It was amazing! We went at lunchtime and it was packed. Everyone was excited for tasty food clearly. They make your food right in front of you and we got it pretty quickly after ordering. Team was very friendly. The portions were large. I ended up taking half of my sandwich home because I was so full. I easily could have shared. Food was tasty and fresh. I will absolutely come here again!

After passing this spot multiple times, we braved the line and wait today. The post-ordering process is pretty hectic, and it doesn't help when there's a ton of people inside milling around and pushing tables together. Some people stay in front of the glass, getting their orders faster despite pointing to every customization and requesting things. For people who are coming in for the first time, I wish their menu or website had a list or description of the side/salad bar items! No idea what is included or not for each item.The flavor and ingredients seemed solid, but unfortunately found a few pieces of raw meat in my ribeye lafa. It's called "minute steak" so I understand it's cooked quickly, but I would hope that it's still cooked consistently. Our take out orders had a few mistakes, and lafas and pitas get super soggy so I think they are best as a sit down.I agree with the other reviews that the pricing is definitely too high, especially as "street food" and for take out.

I had a fantastic lunch experience here. Waltzed in around 2:30pm and the place was lively and full of happy patrons - don't worry, the line moves fast and there's plenty of seating inside, outside, and even a small "bar" table for solo diners like me. The food is cooked fresh - all the sides are customizable right in front of you, and the proteins are cooked fresh and brought out from the back. The guy helping me might have been the owner - very friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. I asked for a bit of everything so I could try it all. I ordered a plate and it's true what others have been saying - the portion is enormous. I might be a "little lady" but I cleared my entire plate. Such a colorful assortment of fresh vegetables, I felt so healthy and nourished after my meal. The pita is soft and chewy, I found everything so flavorful and delicious.The staff is helpful and happy. Good vibes all around. Even better food, cooked with love. Can't wait to come back and maybe try the chicken liver next time. I wish this team all the best!

For a counter service place that doesn't offer water to their patrons, except for sale, and that yells their patrons names instead of bringing them food... the experience for $20+ lunch is subpar.When they call your name and you go up, you are met with silence or scowls. Well at least I was... but they seemed smiley, hospitable and cheerful to everyone else. Not a good feeling. ..When you're sitting here thinking of all the other meals you could've had, with each bite, wishing you had something to wash it down without nearing $30 for lunch...its not the experience that makes you want to return or bring others. They have good portions, I'll give them that... but the meat quality wasnt anything to write about. Not bad, but not great or distinctively memorable either. If you do go... don't sit next to the fridge... it's constantly slamming closed. Offputting...They seem very popular so I'm sure they'll do great. It just didn't speak anything special to me.

I had this place saved after looking up "hot and new" restaurant on yup. I finally got the chance to try it. The location is in the plaza in mission valley. It's across from Mr.Moto pizza. There is a decent amount of parking so it's not too bad. The place is set up similar to chipotle or a sub shop, Where you order and they put everything together. You get to pick what you want to put inside from variety of selection such as pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. The bread choices are pita, baguette and something else ( I forgot)There's also plate option and salad if you have other preferences. It smelled super good waiting for the food so I was excited! After thought: - food was alright, pita bread was way better than the baguette - crispy potatoes weren't crispy and it's just okay
