We got takeout from here and really liked it! We got the kebab sampler where there was chicken, lamb, and beef kebab along with rice, pita bread and a salad. All the meats were so flavorful and juicy, but my favorite was the spicy lamb kebab. The portion was also large too.The service was really great. Even though we were waiting for takeout, the server offered us Turkish tea on the house that came in beautiful glasses. The interior is also kind of like a diner, which wasn't what I expected from the outside but it does give a nice, casual vibe. Can't wait to come back!

Food: 10/10 - I've never liked turkish food before eating from Halva. I had it oncebefore as take out and then was so SO impressed that had to go try in person. Obsessed with their yoghurt dipand Beyti Kebab. My husband had the burger which was good too but I'd say go for the Turkish items on the menu! actually some of the best food I've had in Boston! Service: 10/10 really sweet peopleAmbiance: 7/10 but given the food tbh it didnt matter much

I've had lunch here quite a few times and am slowly turning into a regular! The Adana kebab wrap is my go-to order but their falafel wrap and lentil soup are really good too. The staff is super friendly and are happy to provide recommendations. Don't leave without trying their pistachio baklava!

Halva Mediterranean Grill left me quite impressed. However, it is recommended that you phone ahead of time to check on seating availability. My party discovered this the hard way when we arrived without checking in and ended up at the diner w/ stools. Onto the culinary experience: we chose the Triple Plate, Pistachio Kebab, and the Adana Kebab. All dishes were reminiscent of the true flavors I experienced in Turkey. Each kebab was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The accompanying rice was a nice compliment to the overall dinner experience. To finish our dinner, we indulged in Pistachio and Walnut Baklava. These delights were dense but delicious, with the ideal blend of sweetness and texture. I also loved that each plate came with three pieces of baklava rather than just one, demonstrating the restaurant's commitment to customer happiness. Finally, Halva Mediterranean Grill met my expectations with its excellent cooking, attentive staff, and delectable desserts.

I have patiently waited for their opening day since first reading that Halva Kebab would be launching at the long vacant space that once was the former New York Diner in Watertown. I was really excited when they finally set their soft opening date on Thanksgiving 2023 with a breakfast buffet; dinner menu would start about two weeks later.Stopping by on a sleepy Monday night for dinner, I was pleasantly surprised to see almost all tables occupied. I was greeted warmly and promptly seated. Having already studied their paper menu from two weeks ago, I already knew what I wanted to try first. From start to finish, every part of the meal was delightful (with ONE slight exception, the grilled tomato could be charred/cooked a tad bit more). Flavors were great, portions were decent, and the aesthetics/plating was superb. I really was impressed. In fact, they just replaced my once favorite spot in Allston.Thank you for the great food and very warm service. I look forward to being back again soon. Cheers!

We had a nice meal here. The interior is fairly dingy, but the food is good and reasonably priced. We ordered the Shepherd Salad, Fried Feta Rolls, Falafel Entree and Chocolate Baklava. The salad is fresh and delicious, a bit difficult to eat as all the veggies are cubed, but the flavors are great. We had to ask for pita, which seems like an obvious companion to salad. The feta rolls are so good! They came with a spicy dipping sauce, highly recommend. The falafel entree was good, if a bit underwhelming. Not a lot of flavor in the falafel or the hummus/tahini. Unclear what the green sauce is, tasty, but unremarkable. The rice is really delicious. The grilled veggies are sorely lacking. One small piece of tomato and one small piece of green pepper. One would assume a couple pieces as well as onion based on other yelp photos. We thought we were ordering a regular order of chocolate baklava (to go) but due to a misunderstanding, we got just one piece, a small bite really. It was tasty, but tiny. This is not the place to go if you are vegan and the vegetarian options are limited, but I think if you enjoy grilled meats and fresh salad, it's a good choice. Service is fast and the young women working were very nice.
