Hal's Drive In

We have been here a few times in the past few years on our way to camping. The fish burger is very tasty, just what I expected, and fries are good too. So much variety in the menu, it's hard to choose! It was busy for a Tuesday at lunch, with dine in, drive through and takeout orders all coming in at once, the staff handles it all like seasons pros. I think it might be a favourite with the locals. Def would recommend for a reasonably priced meal that hits the spot. Wish I had taken pictures! Much better than your standard fast food and worth the extra few minutes wait. Will most likely be back on our next trip through town.

Opened in 1949-1950 Owner passed. New owner in 1964. The owner held onto the "fifties" car hop drive in with great burgers, fries, Ice cream & yummy shakes. The only drawback is the limited seating and parking spaces. I moved to Sedro Woolley June 1970. Many of my new acquaintances worked there. It was great. Every month I treat myself to a ranch cheeseburger basket, lots of tarter sauce with my fries and a banana shake. I absolutely love this 50's style place. I have never had a banana shake Like theirs. So delicious. I also love their corndogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, Mushrooms. The items on the menu are great as well. 53 yrs for me enjoying great food. Thank You Guys!!

Hals please don't close i love you so muchhhh pls pls pls don't close. i can't live without the cheeseburgers with the goop sauce. and the perfect milkshakes there so good. I js don't know what to do without you. Hals if u see this please don't close i'm begging you.

Good burgers, fries and milkshakes!!! Service was good and speedy and the decor is nice.

Amazing burgers, fries, and old fashioned shakes. Soda is always super fizzy I love it. Highly recommend.

Although this place is a really good place to get a cheeseburger, I was extremely disappointed when I found what seems to be either a cheese rapper thing or the ones you see on a raw patty. Either way it's disgusting and I had to throw away my burger. I was going to go get a refund but by then I had to rush back to work and the next day was thanksgiving.

I have to say the staff was friendly and really enjoyed our interaction. I got the Deluxe Combo with the kick ass "Goop" sauce and in house hade ranch dressing. The lettuce was extremely crispy which was such a delight with fresh tomato. I could buy both by the quart. They sell their tartar sauce by the 4oz, 8oz or pint, I did have any. I think next time I will have to get some tartar sauce. They have a huge menu, and it can be a little intimidating, if you are familiar with the menu. I would recommend looking at the menu on-line ahead of time for smooth transaction. Defiantly will be back and this time I will be ordering the curly fries.

I am always impressed with Hal's Drive In. The employees are always friendly, and their appearance is always clean, which can be tough when you work around food all day. I stopped in for a burger when I had an errand to run in Sedro Woolley. The staff at Hal's once again set the standard for all other burger diners and drive ins to follow. My burger came out fast. I drove down to Clear Lake to enjoy my lunch and I have to say I was in near disbelief at how perfect my burger buns were. Every other burger drive in around Skagit County smashes the buns, some to the point of being ridiculous. Not Hal's, look at my photo. Yes, the burger patties have shrunk, and prices have gone up, but that is across the board, shrinkflation sucks but what are we going to do? I'm certainly not going to stop eating at my favorite Drive In. Thanks Hal's, you rock!!

Awesome cheeseburger meal. They are fast and yummy! Fabulous tartar sauce to dip the fries in. YUM!

Usually good food at moderate pricing. Don't show up too late or they'll be out of bacon (regular occurrence late in the day). Both is cream machines were down today so none of their very good milkshakes. Got the order to go and the when we got home we found the fries to be not just undercooked, but still cold and semi hard--aka raw. Disappointing considering two small fries is about $8
