Hak San Teriyaki

My go to lunch spot besides the pho place next door. They have the regular teriyaki menu you'd find at other spots but their quality blows other places away. Decent pricing and portion as well. Teriyaki comes with rice and salad, I usually order the beef or chicken teriyaki, super flavorful and not dry like other teriyaki spots! And if you're feeling like spending a bit more, the short ribs is a must try, great flavors and meat is super tender. You would not be disappointed!

Updated review: Very disappointed. They are under new ownership and actually have a new name. I went last night and the people there were SO friendly, but I was disappointed in the food. The old Hak San overloaded your food. I would get the large chicken teriyaki and the plate would be overflowing. Lots of sauce, and SO good. This new place got rid of the macaroni salad, which I loved. Their salad with dressing was good, I ordered extra dressing. The chicken though was dry, and had barely any sauce. Only the top layer had any sauce at all. The rice was good, but a little overcooked and mushy. I don't know if it was because there was no rice under the chicken like it used to be served, but the serving seemed small in comparison. Overall so disappointed that my favorite teriyaki is gone.

Stopped by here for the first time today and ordered a Mango/Peach Boba!! So good & great customer service! The best I've had actually.

Ordered the Fuji platter and was very disappointed.Teri beef was good but the Katsu had very little chicken and was way over cooked, Katsu sauce had the consistency of Catchup.Shrimp were dry and also was the gyoza. The menu says it comes with sterfried vegetables but came with with a green salad, this was the best part of the meal but there was only 1 salad?I hope that this was just an off night for them.

Small and quaint shop. Quick and friendly service! I'm on crutches right now and they brought the order out to my car. It's the little things, will come back soon. Got the lunch special, good amount of food and the pasta was good No one has posted updated prices so I took the liberty to do so

I believe no teriyaki restaurant deserves less than four stars unless they are truly subpar.This is one of the best and our favorite teriyaki shops in the south area.They do excellent teriyaki, the portions are generous, most items are still under $15, and they're quick and clean. Everything we want from a teriyaki place, which is why I'm giving them five stars.We typically get the chicken yakisoba and spicy chicken. The soba portion is huge, and there is a good ratio of noodles, thinly sliced cabbage, and plenty of chicken. The spicy chicken is not very spicy but still delicious. Both are flavorful! Between the two of us, we usually get at least two meals out of our order.There is some seating at the restaurant, and it's overall very clean, bright, and friendly.

Hak San Teriyaki (Jan 2024)While I have eaten at this place for a long time, and I just discovered that it has undergone a change of management or ownership recently.The "New" Hak San has a more simplified menu than before, and the pricing remains very reasonable. Gone are the macaroni salad and stirfried cabbage and carrot vegetables, in comes a simple lettuce and carrot cold salad with dressing. The teriyaki sauce is now on the lighter side, but seems to be more flavorful. You will also not find any house prepared hot chili sauce; you get packages of Sriracha Chili Sauce packs instead if you request such.I've tried 3 different combos over 6 weeks - Teriyaki chicken and pork (very thin sliced) combo, Teriyaki chicken and Katsu {One of the best Katsu sauces I have ever tasted} combo, and Teriyaki Chicken and Beef (Thinly sliced too) combo. I must say that thismay be the best Teriyaki food place I've re-discovered for the past few years. It will now be my go-to if I have the craving.If you have not eaten here, or if it has been a while since you last ate here, do patronize this place and provide some feedback to everyone. I am confident you will not be disappointed with the food.Happy Eating !!!

Best teriyaki chicken around! Grilled to perfection and teriyaki sauce is delicious! So much better than any other Teriyaki in Federal Way or puget sound area! They do it right!!!

I enjoy trying different teriyaki restaurants. This place was awful. Chicken teriyaki was burnt. Orange Chicken had no flavor. The boba tea, idk even what that was.... Totally gross. Ended up throwing it away. Was super disappointed

Teriyaki was soooo delicious but their forks were the biggest surprise. They didn't us those flimsy sporks and although we were insulted by not receiving chopsticks (we're Asian) these forks were better than getting chopsticks!!!
