10/10 experience. I've had hot pot before but it was personal sized with ingredients already chosen for you and no sauce bar. This spot had EVERYTHING you could want for any diet. I went with a few pescetarians and we had no issues. We ordered two soup bases, a tom yum base and a mushroom base. Both great but Tom yum stood out omg. We ordered mostly veggies but the meat ordered was SOOOgood. I loved the options at the sauce bar and on the menu. You ordered via the iPad and it had anything you could dream of!The staff was so accommodating and sweet as well. Always willing to explain and help when you needed it.Hot pot is such a nice communal experience that slows you down and let's you socialize and spend quality time with friends and family. Highly recommend.

Do not come here if you're having dinner. There were literally fruit flies on the oranges that were left out and the servers don't care to refill the fruit (that you'd pay extra for). Also the female server was not attentive after we sat down and waited for our food. We had to REMIND her multiple times we haven't received our order after waiting 20 min. Mind you, I walked around and there were barely any people so I know it wasn't busy during our visit. Was it worth the price? No. Was the service great? No. However, the hot pot itself was good. The cut of meat and soup taste satisfied my stomach. But again, I would rather pay for excellent food and SERVICE when eating at any restaurant.(Also, they don't do discounts).

This is a super fun hot pot place that is delicious and entertaining at the same time. Hot pot is one of my favorite things to eat, but where I live in Nashville, there are very few places that have vegetarian broths. It was super refreshing to come to Chicago and find this place to eat for dinner. The vibe is awesome. Music is great. Everyone seems to be having a really fun time. The wait staff is super sweet and helpful. One of the best sauce bars I have ever seen for a hot pot place. I think I went back three times to get edamame. I got one of the spicy broth and a mushroom broth, both of which were vegetarian. Added in some tofu, some bok choy, and some udon noodles, and had a really great dinner. Free ice cream to top it all off. And that robot... I need one of those at home.

While there may be many hot pot competitors in the greater area, we love taking visitors here to enjoy the unique experience. The restaurant has ample seating so it is usually not too difficult to get a reservation in advance. Before going, make sure the noodle performer is available for the time of your reservation. It is quite a sight to see a master of noodle art, flinging noodle ropes at diners and watching their amazed expressions. Kids have the option of delicious kid meals, as well as fruit and other goodies at the sauce bar and they love spotting the robot that carries all the trays of raw food over. Selection is great and everything is fresh and delicious.

Haidilao is hands down the best hotpot experience I've ever had! The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, with fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables that make every bite delicious. The broth options are diverse, catering to both spicy lovers and those who prefer milder flavors. What really sets Haidilao apart is the outstanding service--the staff is incredibly attentive and makes sure you have everything you need. From the complimentary snacks to the fun noodle dance, every detail is designed to make your visit special. I can't wait to come back!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Haidilao Hotpot. The service was exceptional--staff were incredibly kind and helpful. A special highlight was the lady who guided us through the meal, starting with a delicious soup she made using dried beef, onions, cilantro, and tomato. The variety in their sauce collection was impressive, offering a wide range of options to customize your hotpot. The ability to choose up to four different hotpot base soups at once was amazing. The meat and ingredients were all fresh, and a nice touch was the option to pack any leftover food to take home. The assortment of mushrooms and different beef cuts was top-notch. If you want to warm up with some delicious hotpot, this is the place to go!

Not what it used to be. Told us the wait was 15 to 20min ended up waiting for almost an hour! Then they made us order a split pot (a soup on one side and clear hot water on the other side) even though we wanted a whole pot of the same soup ( this made the soup portion a lot less!) I even seen they make some people order a 4 slot pot with only 2 soups and the other two just clear hot water. Then no one doing the pull noodles and no person doing the face change show (it was a weekend dinner). The kids meal was also a joke. Also grabbed my kids a few snacks from the food bar and later realized they EXPIRED 6 months ago!!!!! No refills on the sides dishes. Overall just bad bad bad and will not return! If I am paying for that price, there are better hotpot places out there!

It is a great place to enjoy hot pot in a cold winter evening. It is located right adjacent to the convention center. I saw it on my way walking back from Chinatown last night, so decided to give it a try. My friend bailed out on me after a long day at the conference.I made a huge mistake by choosing two soup bases. The hot pot has four quadrants for various soup bases when you have a party of four. Dining by myself, I only need one soup base and rest could be water with dried dates and goji berries. They charged $6.49 for each soup base. They also self-serving bar with various appetizers, fruits, desert soup and all kinds of dipping sauces. I ordered fish filets, fish tofu and Yu Choy tips. It was really enjoyable except lack of companion. Definitely come back with a bigger party and choose my ingredients more wisely. .

Chicago, here is another great hotpot spot for you to check out and it's definitely one of my new favorites! There are so many options of meats, seafood, veggies, sides, drinks and desserts. Ordering is done at your leisure from the iPad at your table, and if there is something that you need assistance with, everyone is so willing to stop and help. There are descriptions of the food items as well which is very helpful. I got to try some Chinese adult beverages and the waitstaff (including the awesome manger - Pearl!) explained how to best enjoy the drinks. I really liked that each customer is given an apron to keep their clothes from getting dirty as they indulge, and the tasty broths and sauces that they create. And what's even cooler, is that at the sauce bar there are different, unlimited fruits and snacks. There are cool deals being offered for the new year like getting 15% off of your parking taken from your food bill; how awesome is that? Don't take my word for it, pay them a visit and indulge in some delicious hot pot! Enjoy!

Can't believe it took me this long to finally try out Hai Di Lao and literally had the best service ever. It is such a fun experience that I feel like everyone has to try at least once if you're a hot pot lover! They also have code words you say to the workers and you can get free snacks/toys! It's fun getting everyone in your party to try out a code word. My go to soup base is the Tom yum!! I love their sauce bar and it's fun watching them do the dance when you order the dancing noodle. I went here again for my birthday and had the best serviceeee. The workers were super kind and attentive. They had this cute set up with birthday decorations and the workers even offered to take group photos for us which was great.
