Haidilao is the equivalent of Disneyland for adults. Way more than a restaurant - it's an experience, cultural enrichment, and entertainment all while having the best food in San Diego. Everything is delicious (bring back the bamboo shoot shrimp please) and well suited for a variety of tastes and preferences that even the pickiest eaters will enjoy. While you wait for your table you can play online games to win Haidilao themed plushies and prizes, and during holidays they have various events in the lobby (for instance mooncake making and sampling last Chinese new year). They have snacks at the front, a phone sanitizer, and the bathrooms are all stocked with mouthwash, toothbrushes, lotion, floss, you name it. The dancers and performers are amazing, and for birthdays they go above and beyond to decorate your booth and make you feel special. Plus free ice cream AND you leave with a goodie bag of snacks. No other restaurant can light a candle next to them. Happiest place on earth!Love, your biggest fan

Awesome food. Great experience. Excellent customer service every time, especially if there is a birthday or special occasion. If you have a larger party (6 or more) call in your reservation and they'll have a VIP room and special gift(s) for the guest(s) of honor. They have snacks in the waiting area to keep the kids and hangry adults in a good mood, and they'll give toys to the kids too. Lots of meat for the omnivores and carnivores, but great options for vegans and vegetarians too. I love the tomato broth. Sure Haidilao will cost more than Panda Express, but for those not familiar with hot pot (like Japanese Shabu Shabu, Korean barbecue, or even French fondue) the act of cooking a shared meal together adds another layer to the act of eating together that makes the memory even more special. If you are lucky you experience the noodle dancer and face-changing dancers to make it an all-time epic evening.

Amazing service as usual for haidilao! The setup was great inside - it was a birthday in our party and they sat us with the birthday decor and sang a song. Great place for a gathering. We got Tom yum and pork bone and it was amazing broth. Meats were of great quality. They stopped doing the noodle man so don't expect him there haha!

What a magical culinary journey! Our party was kindly greeted by Jacob who gave us a tablet and helped us navigate the menu and place our order. Our table had complimentary hair ties, aprons & cell phone wipes waiting for us. The hotpot was divisible by 4 so we could chose up to 4 different types of broth. The meats, veggies and seafood were delivery to our table by a robotic server (autonomous tray towers on wheels). We feasted like royalty and savored every bite! Service was on point - our server Qiaozhen was attentive and very informative with our questions about the menu options. We were celebrating my friend's birthday so she are arranged for a birthday song to be sung. The serenade came complete with complimentary goodie bags full of swag for the birthday girl. What?! How amazing and thoughtful!!!

The perfect hot pot place for an occasion. I think it's too pricey for a casual hot pot meal though. They have a free kids meal that they bring out right at the start if you want it and I think it's a brilliant idea to keep the kids occupied. The plate was very cute with an animal shaped bun. The broth options are plentiful and can choose 1 to 4 of them in the same sectioned pot. We picked the tomato and the spicy broth. There is an option sauce/side counter which is worth the $3 per person. They have a peanut salad which was excellent. They have an assortment of snacks here as well. All the meats/veggies/noodles we picked were fresh and were delicious with the different broths. Once the hotpot states I got to busy to take pics
