I came here just a couple of times in the past for the kbbq but just this summer alone my friend and I visited about 4-5 times specifically for their raw marinated crabs. They also serve full servings for I believe around $40. It was very convenient that they served half as part of their combos (in addition to bulgogi, seafood pancakes, bean paste soup, and steamed eggs) which was priced at $69 over the summer but I see that it's now priced at $89.

Amazing Korean BBQ. The meat is of great quality and they were very generous with banchan. The waiter will cook the meat for you which is perfect for those who wants to sit down, relax and enjoy yummy KBBQ. Few waiters aren't proficient in English but ordering and paying wasn't an issue at all. I've been wanting to check out Korean restaurants in Federal Way and this one didn't disappoint. Only complains is that the dumplings we ordered were pretty meh.

Pretty decent place. They ran out several things that we wanted to try and it was Saturday! Their pancake was really good compared to other places I've been to. Their kalbi has good flavor but I wish they grilled the bone part more so that the meat can be picked easily from the bone. Bulgogi was dry and didn't have enough flavor for me. I think you can tell by looking at the color compared to the kalbi.

My family has been coming to Hae Song for years now, since it's the best Korean BBQ that we can find in the Seattle area (totally worth the trek to Federal Way!). We always order one of the various Assorted BBQ Combos, as they're the best value and allow you to try a good selection of meats and side dishes, and the last time we went, we ordered the Marinated BBQ Combo A ($169, meant for 5-6 people) for a party of 6, which ended up being the perfect amount when paired with their Green Onion Seafood Pancake ($19) and their Spicy Marinated Crab ($35). We came in on a Sunday night at around 8pm, and our party of 6 was seated immediately. The restaurant is quite large and not too loud, with both normal tables and tables meant for the traditional grill-it-yourself Korean BBQ experience. They are generous with the sides dishes (banchan), with various types of kimchi, vegetables (e.g. sesame-oil bean sprouts, spinach, mashed potato salad, etc.), and fish cakes, and all of the BBQ Combos come with Doenjang Jigae (Korean Soybean Paste Soup), which is nice and warming, Gyeran--Jjim (Steamed Eggs), and rice for everyone. Additionally, they are more than happy to provide you a refill on any sides if you ask!The Green Onion Seafood Pancake is large with 8 slices, and it is crispy and well-seasoned, with plenty of green onions, oysters, squid, etc. The Spicy Marinated Crab is succulent and juicy, with an addictively sweet and spicy sauce. It's sometimes hard to get the crab meat out of the shells, but once you do, it's well worth it! While $35 seems like a lot, they are very generous with the amount of crab they give compared to many other Korean restaurants I've been to.Onto the actual BBQ Combo - you can grill it yourself or have them grill it for you (pro tip: ask for them to change the grill pan at least once or twice during the meal, since the grease burns the bottom of the pan). Their marinated beef and boneless short rib cubes are flavorful, and both come in that sweet-savory soy sauce-marinade associated with galbi/bulgogi. The pork is faintly spicy and nothing to write home about, but the marinated chicken (probably some kind of thigh/dark meat) is surprisingly tender and juicy! But their best cut of meat (in my opinion) is the prime short rib that come on the bone. The meat quality is truly exceptional, and it is amazing dipped in the sesame oil that it comes with. Hae Song definitely isn't cheap, but the service is great, and the food is always delicious and generously portioned. This is our favorite Korean spot to come to in the area, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to satisfy a KBBQ craving!

Great food, great service. They got busy after we were given our meals. It must be a very yummy spot. My stomach was happy after leaving here. Parking is easy to find and is right in front. Slightly pricey for what you get. Staff is helpful

Really good Korean food my wife's Korean and I lived in Korea for three years so we have a pretty good idea. What are the better restaurants. This is definitely one of the better ones in the area.

Came back after a long time away with the fam because we are apparently gluttons for punishment... We ordered nengmyun and all of our noodles were way undercooked. No chewiness to the noodles at all, which is basically the minimum you could ask for with nengmyun. We ordered a variety of beef KBBQ and the marinated beef was all WAYYY too sweet. This would have been fine, except the service was godawful even for a Korean restaurant. I'm Korean and know that at Korean restaurants, you're not going to get the best service. But dang the servers didn't even come to the half of the restaurant we were seated in... the one time we managed to flag someone down to change our charred grill, he was pretty rude and was throwing plates on our table. We literally all left the restaurant thirsty because we couldn't get anyone to come fill out waters LOLFederal way has so many great options for Korean food and for real this aint it. I absolutely would not recommend.

Dinner reservation for 7 people. We got a few orders of Beef Brisket, Pork Belly for BBQ meats, a Seafood Pancake, a couple of Bibimbaps, a Chicken Fried Rice, a Spicy Beef Soup, a Steamed Egg and a couple of other items. Got plenty of rice bowls as well.Service was pretty good for the most part. It was a busy night, so there were a lot of people inside the restaurant. We enjoyed our foods very much and liked the taste of all of the Korean foods. Our overall dining experience was great once again as we are regular customers here.

Came here on a Saturday night to get some Korean BBQ. Place was pretty busy and had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. It's a decent place on the inside. Got asked 4 times if I was getting Korean BBQ so that was pretty annoying. I'm pretty sure we were cut in line by another group. Got a combo 3, pot stickers, and sweet potato noodles. The food was very tasty and I loved the tofu side that has the ride sauce in it. The wagyu was also fantastic.
