Tonights dinner at Haciendas Mexican Food was next level good. We had the sampler platter and the veggie tacos and side salad. It was so much food! Presented beautifully, hot, delicious. Everything was perfect. So pleased with the friendly staff and waiter. My spouse has Parkinson's and all were very patient and kind. I really appreciated that. We've been coming here for many years and the chef prepared an amazing meal. Thank you. Of course I wanted one of their excellent Cadillac margs, but I have to drive responsibly. Have yourself a visit. It's a fun, family friendly restaurant with rooms for private parties and music on weekends. Btw, we went the day after Cinco De Mayo, and it was still crowded. That tells you something!

Refreshing spot on El Cajon Blvd, in the midst of Carland. I was happy to find something that offers fresh, authentic Mexican food. It's a welcome change from the regular selection of rolled tacos and carne asada burritos.On a quiet Saturday afternoon, I ordered a few tacos and was happy to find Birria. They stew the meat so it was very tender and moist, with just the right amount of seasoning. As a street taco, it doesn't need much besides a little pico de gallo.They also offer other traditional tacos like cabesa, lingua, barbacoa, etc. I didn't get to try those meats but I'm sure they are great and this would be a great option for catering.

Walked a pretty good distance to get to this place because of the reviews. Got there at 7:52 am and they were to open at 8 am. Someone got there at 7:53 am and then a cashier showed up at 8:02 am. He told me to wait outside because they weren't ready and it would take a while to heat the stove and prepare.The cashier was nice didn't know how long it should take for me to come back. Told me to check back in 20 mins or so. Since I had walked there this wasn't ideal so I left to walk further to a spot I knew was reliable with open time and staffed. (Sombrero's to the rescue).Wanted to try something local which wasn't a chain food spot and was let down because they couldn't accommodate proper time openings. Would have loved to try the food, what a shame!

Really unique food and genuine. Birria, cabesa, etc. We just wanted something quickly when we were waiting at the car shop. Oll come back. I got the birria torte and it was not over cooked and didn't feel greasy either. Wished there were was a bit more veggies but that is just me. Staff was polite, but struggled with English a bit. No sweat. I only say that because someone was asking questions about specific meats and the poor staff member tried his best!

This place has the best chunky red salsa, which is somehow outshined by their verde jalapeño salsa. They are phenomenal with requests and their portions are large enough for a few meals. The carne asada is never gristle and it's reliable to be delicious.

My latest go-to for Mexican food. Fair prices, great service and friendly atmosphere. I love that they are willing to sub pretty much any ingredient! I absolutely love their Adobada here so it pretty much goes into anything I order. Chilaquiles are amazing! Breakfast burritos are HUGE! Highly recommend this place!

Good food especially for office lunches that can be made in bulk for pickup. An economical way to host an office luncheon that can be supplemented with grocery store purchased deserts, fruit and drinks. This Mexican Food is excellent for such gatherings!
