Habanero's Mexican Grill & Cantina

We just love Habanero's! The food is so good! The habanero salsa melts our faces off, but we can't stop eating it. It's not fancy, but if you're dining in, you do get waited on by a server, which is a nice touch. I'd say the noise level is pretty average. There are multiple TVs playing various sports channels usually when we are in.

My husband and I watched "Check Please" this past Thursday. The three guests on that night raved about Habaneros. So we decided to give it a try.We stepped in at noon. It's a small casual place, with a small "bar" area where you can sit to eat or drink. The music was so loud that folks inside were trying to talk over the music. Imagine that. Our server Eva did a great job catering to us, given the fact that she was the only server during a semi busy time of day. We ordered chips and salsa. There were two different salsas, red and green. No flavor what so ever in either one of them. The chips weren't heated up nor were they salted. Bland. Plus I'm not a fan of yellow corn chips, they just don't seem real to me. I know, weird.I had the lobster enchiladas which came with pinto whole beans and rice. Again bland. But the green sauce that was poured over the enchiladas was tasty with a hint of spice. I couldn't taste lobster even though I could see it. The corn tortilla that wrapped the lobster was a bit tough, like it wasn't cooked long enough to soften up. My husband had the carnitas which also arrived with pinto beans, rice and flour tortillas. That was so so. My son had the chile relleno plate, his comment was that he makes them better. My daughter-in-law had the cheese enchilada plate, and ate it all up. All in all a huge disappointment for us. We won't be returning.

Habaneros is absolutely delicious. Every time I go there and the staff is always so sweet and attentive in a great location and authentic feel I always take people to this authentic Mexican restaurant to enjoy delicious tacos.

Stopped for dinner here with my family post Cinco de Mayo and had a delicious dinner! There three of us shared veggie nachos which was a large portion. I also had the chicken taco salad which was delicious and also very filling. My grandma had the veggie taco and house margarita which she said was tasty. The restaurant wasn't packed at all and was quick to get us our food and drinks. The restaurant was cute and plenty of seating for other groups.

I saw this restaurant featured in Check Please Arizona and knew I had to try it and so glad I did!! This is a family owned restaurant with some of the best Mexican food around. Everything is made to order including the chips ! You can watch everything being cooked right behind the bar. The chips are SO delicious and came with 2 sauces, green and red. I preferred the red, a little more Smokey and slightly hotter. The green seemed to be a little more sweet. I ordered 1 blackened fish taco and 1 mahi mahi taco. They were both delicious!! Just the right amount of spice in the blackened yet it didn't over power the taste of the fish. You have your choice of shell, flour, corn, hard or soft. My husband had the chili rellano which was loaded with cheese and crispy on the outside. He had a choice of ok to or black beans and he chose the pinto which were so full of flavor. Since everything is made fresh to order you might wait a little longer for your food, not that much, but believe me, it is worth it.

Came for lunch today w the fam - between the four of us, we had chicken and steak fajitas, chicken fajitas, beef enchiladas, chips and salsa, and a frozen strawberry marg. Food was delicious, margarita was good (big!), and the restaurant is really clean. It is loud and service was a bit slow but it seemed like they may have been short staffed as server was working counter and tables. Would for sure go back but maybe as take out next time!

Service was spot on! Everyone was friendly I sat at the bar waiting for a friend and the 2 woman made me feel welcomed and comfortable checking on me to make sure I had everything I needed. I loved being able to see everything cooked in front of me. Food looked amazing and tasted great! Overall I will be back

Food was very good. Our waitress has been there a long time and she made us feel right at home. Love the diversity on the menu especially the vegetarian and vegan selections.

We saw this restaurant on a segment of the show Check Please. Thought we would try it, and glad we did! The Chilies Rellanos was excellent, whole chilies stuffed with Jack cheese and cooked to perfection. For tacos, had the fried fish, nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Also had the lobster taco, very yummy. We each had a house margarita and they are huge! Very tasty. We will definitely be back soon!

Stopped here after a hike. 1st visit but won't be our last! Great family restaurant! It was packed. Someone mentioned it made the news last night. Great food and fabulous owners/ staff! Big menu. I'm looking forward to trying many more entrees.
