Guido's Chicago Meat & Deli

Excellent food, service and the ambiance makes me feel I back home in the Chicago area. A huge assortment of meats, pasta or as my mother called it macaroni, salads, sauces and pastries. Do not come here if you are one person, or any number of persons. I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting to be seated only to have them seat 4 larger groups ahead of me! I used to come with my husband who just died. I guess widows and singles are not wanted! So if they don't want my money I am happy to take it elsewhere! I hope you Yelpers do as well!

Three words...prosciutto mozz sub. It'll change your life. Been coming here for years just for that

Amazing food and atmosphere. Love authentic Italian food. If you like Italian food it's a must try. Everything is homemade and when your done you can take home from the amazing deli.

Came in a year ago to get anise oil for my Italian pizzelles. Today came In to order dinner for my boyfriend and I for Christmas Eve dinner. The guys were so nice and helpful. They have a full menu from cold sandwiches to full entrees. If you are looking for Italian sauces, oils and vinegars they have you covered.Looking forward to my meal and to take my Italian mother here when she visits in a few weeks. Another plus is the broasted chicken, not a lot of places have broasted chicken on their menu.

$10 cannoli is crazy. Was told it'd be "large" but even the one item receipt was longer than the cannoli. Took a bit over 5 minutes and the place was half empty yet still a maze to walk around in. Giving three stars only because of their deli selection and pasta related options. If they didn't have that, I'd go elsewhere and would've rated 1 if not 2 stars. It's quite overpriced and the inside setup was chaos to maneuver through. Other places have actual "large" cannoli's and typically you can get almost two for the price they're charging here. Cannoli crumbled after just one bite

Everything about my Guido's experience was 10/10. The friendly staff, the service, the delicious food and deserts, all came together to make my first experience there a perfect one! I came in for dinner with my partner and we decided we would share an order of toasted ravioli, garlic bread, and a meatball sub. It was really hard to narrow down our choices because nearly everything on the menu sounded so tasty. When our food came, it was beyond our initial expectations. The servings were generous, so sharing is definitely an option! Everything about the meatball sub was delicious, especially the bread it came on. The appetizers were delicious too but we definitely could've ordered only one because of how much food we ended up with. Throughout the whole time there, our server was so friendly and checked in on us multiple times to see how everything was. I have to say though, the real star of the show was the deserts. We decided to go a little crazy and ordered both a large chocolate cannoli and a tiramisu for two. We ended up taking both home and trying them later that night (because we were so full at the restaurant) but wow, they were some of the best deserts I've had, EVER. The shell of the cannoli was so delicate and the filling was incredible. It's also a very generous size! The tiramisu was also amazing, I don't think I have words to capture just how tasty and rich it was, but needless to say, we'll be back again for both food and treats soon!

Highly recommend this place if you want to try delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. Everything I've ordered here has been exceptional from sandwiches to wings to pasta. I also love that I can order deli items and desserts to take home with us. We've been going here for years and will continue to for as long as they're around.

After hearing great things about Guido's I was in the area and decided today was the day! We tried the Italian sub, and the Chicago Italian combo with the sausage and the Italian beef with peppers. All amazing. The bread was so fresh! The beef with the gravy was delish! My son loved the pepperoni pizza. The star of the show for us was the broasted chicken and coleslaw. So delish! The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was nice to see people working and taking pride in their work! They were happily sweeping and cleaning as tables turned over. We look forward to being a regulars at this gem!

I've been meaning to come here for a while and finally got the chance to and it did not disappoint in the slightest. The Italian combo sandwich was to die for. As for the restaurant itself, it had a true authentic chicago deli vibe. There's a bunch of tables crammed inside a deli and it feels like home. As for the staff. Everyone was super friendly especially our waitress. 10/10 would recommend.
