Groundswell Brewing Company

This was a nice little brewery in Grantville, east of the 15. I visited on a Friday and it wasn't too packed. Parking was fairly easy to find. Lots of great beer here.First and foremost the happy hour prices here are amazing. I think my beer was about $5, although I think there were some beers that were even lower. I opted for the porter and it was delicious. None of that watered down stuff you can find at other places. It's what you're looking for in a good beer, lots of flavor. What's also amazing about this place is that it has tons of games on the side for you and your friends to play. Great place for parties and the like. Will keep this place in mind.

I've been coming to this brewery for a long time and I can honestly say that I've never had a better experience than today. The ambiance was the same, the ballgame was the same, the happy dogs, also the same........The difference today was the comfortable, engaged spirit of Courtney who served us our beers which are consistently brilliant, especially the Blonde and the Brown. I usually go here for the beer but I will return alot sooner because of Courtney..........Thanks Groundswell for employing her........But today 12/28/22 was a horrible one star follow up.....The beer was warm and sucked......I watched the guy repairing the cooler walking around and I got charged full price for warm beer that really sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I usually love this place but I feel like they owe me a few cold beers to replace the two that were warm and really sucked!!!!!!!

Just tried to go here and the doors are locked and closed but said they open @12?? Also the phone number is "no longer in service" maybe update if your closed down of have new hours?!

Came here with some coworkers after work, during Happy hour (Mon - Fri 3-6) you get a $1 off pints which is a pretty good deal. I got a flight with the tropical Hefeweizen, Mocha milk stout, Piloncillo Brown, and the OathkeeperThe Tropical Hefeweizen was nice, i purposely chose beers with low IBU's (international bitterness units) This was a nice hefe, but it was dry hopped so there were hints of that hoppy/pine tree taste that you get with IPA's but not the bitterness. A very refreshing but not bitter beer, its a perfect name for the beer.I loved the Mocha Milk stout very smooth and rich with chocolaty notes. The Piloncillo Brown was good but i preferred the Mocha Milk Stout, i bet if i drank the brown before the milk stout it would have tasted better.The Oathkeeper is a Russian Imperial Stout with 12% ABV, phew! I was afraid this was going to be too high alcohol content for me, but it was very flavorful and robust and turned out to be my favorite of the night.Staff is really friendly and the space is nice and clean, theres parking along the street but also a lot behind the place too. They don't have a kitchen but they do sell snack size bags of chips and similar items. The place is clean and has a cool vibe, very easy to chill and relax.

Supporting local business. This brewery is open for beer to go.Come w my own growler, I didn't have to buy theirs.There is no sit down yet, as in order to open for sit down, food item must be included in each check. Since they r a brewery, without a full size kitchen; perhaps they would work out w some food truck. I had the brown ale. It was delicious & refreshing. There r other options as well: double IPA, blonde ale, Mexican Ale...I'm happy that this place is now open for Togo after 70 days.

Hours say they are open until 10pm. Showed up at 9:10. Lights on, doors open, music playing, 15-ish people, everyone drinking, some smoking by door...was thrilled to return to one of my favorite spots. I was told by someone drinking at the bar that Groundswell was closed for a private party. Maybe have a sign, update your hours or do anything. You've lost me as a customer forever. I used to visit this location three times a week, conservatively. There are other places with the same quality or better beer who will most likely be open when they say they're open. I was looking forward to becoming a regular again. I will give my regular and routine business elsewhere.

Cool brewery near the stadium. I would definitely make it a point to come here pre or post game!It is a nice place to unwind & mingle with friends. They are quite a few board games & at the main entrance, giant Jenga. Friendly bartender & televisions. & great brew!Tropical Hefeweizen (Dry Hopped Hefe with Galaxy Hops): As the name suggest, definitely a little more hoppy than a typical hefeweizen. Nonetheless, still good!Piloncillo (American Brown with Mexican Raw Brown Sugar): Pretty bold & slightly, slightly sweet.

Love this place. Stumbled upon it a few months ago and I keep going back since it's just around the corner! They have a great beer selection and extremely friendly staff! Most of the tasters are $1 each and you can taste just about all of them.There's always parking and you can bring your own food or purchase some nuts or bar mix there. I'm looking forward to the opening of the Santee location which they say will be at the latest, early February. Keep an eye out for the food truck schedule since they have quite a few that stop by!

Fantastic beer and fantastic service! I come in at least twice a week and I usually see Charles working on Wednesday nights. His service is fantastic and he is always incredibly personal and easy to talk to. This is the perfect low profile spot to grab a drink and have cool conversations. Make sure to catch Charles when he's working!
