All right so while my family and I had just finished a lovely walk out near Emory campus in the park there we were starving and searching for something to eat. we just happened upon this place that actually has two restaurants they're connected. It is Grits and Eggs breakfast kitchen, and Southern Foods, pick up takeout and delivery. So one side has the restaurant area which is the grits and eggs breakfast kitchen and the other side has a takeout area which is southern foods walked into Southern foods at first and then realized that we needed to go onto the other side however, both sides were wonderful. The staff greeted us with smiles and, they were very very nice. They were just opening. The food. Looks absolutely amazing so we just wanted something quick and easy so we ordered the chicken honey biscuits and the chicken buttermilk biscuit with chicken gravy and we had eagerly anticipated the food coming our hostess greeted us with smiles. She asked you know the normal questions whether we were eating in or taking it out. While the area is smallish, it's packed and it has a sports bar field to it, but it's Homie at the same time. I can't wait to get our food. Grits and eggs are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM and on Sunday 8 to 5. I suggest that if you are in the Atlanta area that you come down and try this wonderful spot.OK, so we got home and cracked open the containers and it was absolutely beautiful to see the aroma was enticing or maybe it was just because I was really really hungry. Everybody said that their food was super delicious which means this will be another place added onto the rotation when we come back to Atlanta so if you live here , go try it because it is fantastic.

Food was delicious! Our server was really nice but the other servers were slightly awkward and rude. Many were always in other customers and servers business. Twice a server came out with our items and another tried to tell them it wasn't ours or intervening. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. There were weird stipulations on items on the menu. I asked could the boiled egg on the avocado toast be fried and was told that they could take off the egg but would be charged for a fried egg on the side. We also got the Salmon and grits and surprisingly the grits look really seasoned but were very tasteless and flavorless.

Grits and Eggs is a lively and inviting spot that promises a delightful dining experience. The live piano music adds a special touch, creating a warm atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with our server, Kandice, providing exceptional and attentive service throughout our meal. The food was amazing, with each dish bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. It's also worth noting that the owner/operator was present and actively involved in the restaurant, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The space itself is charming and welcoming, making it a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Stopped in on an early Saturday morning. My waitress/bartender was very nice and sweet! The restaurant gives a diner feel. Nice music playing and laid back. I had the catfish shrimp and grits and had enough to take home for leftovers. Very tasty! Not overly seasoned like some places which was a plus! I would like my grits creamier but overall very good. The peach mimosa could have a tad more flavor but it did have the right amount of champagne lol.Must try!

Really good brunch place!! The southern Benedict eggs were so good. The grits were good even though the presentation wasn't amazing and the handful of spinach on the side was funny lol but the service was great too

Known for their famous chicken and waffles! This restaurant packs a flavorful punch! The restaurant is easy to find but parking is limited. If you arrive early enough, there is plenty of paid street parking. It's about $2 for 2 hours if your able to secure parking on the street. The restaurant is very artsy, very demure! There is a receptionist that addresses you right away. Be prepared for this place to always be packed!! We were quoted a wait time of about 40 minutes but offered seating at the bar instantly. We took the seating at the bar because we remembered that we were on metered parking! Everyone is enjoying their chicken and waffles so that's what we ordered! I actually believe this restaurant to taste better than the breakfast club in Houston. So it has elevated itself to the #1 chicken and waffle spot I've ever eaten at in the world!!!!! Wow!!!! That first bite is full of Cajun flavor with a burst of cracked black pepper! The chicken tasted as if it was fried twice because of how crunchy it was. The inside was perfectly cooked and moist! Even the juice from throughout the chicken tasted like it had been marinated in a chicken broth! I didnt think that was possible for a fried dish!! The waffle didn't require any syrup or honey because they mixed in brown sugar and cinnamon which gave it a caramel, candied type flavor! You can eat it like fresh bread! The powered sugar was a bonus. Total cost for chicken and waffles was about $17. Their coffees were spectacular as well. They don't have sugar in any of their coffees but they don't need it! Smooth single origin coffee is what they use! You can certainly taste it!! The inside of the restaurant was massive, seating about a 100 people but still full.

This is my second time visiting this restaurant and I have another rave review. My daughter graduated and we had our large party family graduation brunch here and we were a crowd of nearly 20. They do NOT take reservations or serve alcohol at this time. The manager was so kind and accommodated us to the fullest extent. Our server was amazing she continued to check on us throughout the meal. Also there was ample parking in the parking lot and we did not have to pay for parking. The food was so good and our experience was amazing. Highly recommend this Buckhead location.

the service was great we had a really nice waiter and the food was really generous portions but it just wasnt that great. The wings were fried but it was not crispy and it tasted like maybe old grease was used to fry them... it was just a miss. the greens were really very salty and the mac & cheese was pretty average. We split pancake which we had to send back the first time because it was too hard .The remake was fine.
