Grill City

Went to Grill City today since I know my boyfriend loves grilled meat skewers so I decided to take him here. My mom used to buy their skewers for the 4+1 deal. Today when going we had trouble understanding their menu. It was hard asking the aunties questions since it seems they didn't know English very well and most customers spoke tagalong. The communication barrier made it a bit hard to order. We got their value deals with skewers and their meat stews. The food was okay, a tad too sweet for us. I later came back for their turon and the ube halo halo mixer. They were decent. The halo halo had very interesting ingredients inside that I wouldn't say exactly went together. The ambiance is that of a food court. There is a lot of seating and a few food spots around.

Not the best and not the worst flavor, not the cheapest but not the most expensive (but reasonable given the amount of meat you get). But it does have a good selection and definitely beats most food court food. The biggest drawback is the slow speed of the line which can probably be attributed to the inefficient way that customers are serviced here.The food itself is the big surprise, with the BBQ skewers definitely the star. The meat is tender, the char comes through nicely, and there's a good amount of fat present in each bite. This is also true of the pork liempo which could be marinated a little more but still pretty flavorful. The fatty areas near the bone do a fairly good job of absorbing the grill flavor. The chicken inasal is solid as well, with the lime coming out fairly strong an a subtle vinegar taste. The spice mix isn't too strong, with the pepper as the most prominent spice that I noticed. It could have been a little more tender, but I may have gotten a piece that had been sitting out for a little while longer.Overall, a fairly good introduction to Filipino grill for visitors and while it's not the best version I've had, it's still quite delicious and will fulfill your needs at a reasonable price while you shop at Seafood City.

Grill City tantalizes with the allure of fresh street food, capturing the essence of outdoor dining. However, the experience dips slightly with some pre-prepped items appearing dry, and key dishes like squid and grilled pork falling short on seasoning. Additionally, a note on hygiene: the practice of cashiers handling both money and food preparation with the same gloves calls for immediate attention to ensure food safety standards are upheld. Appreciate the experience. I local will come, as for me, a 45 min drive, dont think I come anytime soon.

I just had a simple, easy & inexpensive breakfast. 2 pieces of Bangus (fried fish), 2 eggs & 2 cups of garlic fried rice for $5.99. You can't beat that deal & best of all I ate half & brought the other half home for lunch. "SUCH A DEAL THEY HAVE FOR YOU". Not all meals are this inexpensive but if you like Bangus it's an awesome deal, tasty & inexpensive.

DO NOT COME HERE! It has been months since my family and I came here. We enjoyed their pork barbecue the last time we came so decided to come today 12/13/2022. The price of pork barbecue is outrageous! $5.99 per stick!!! Gone is their 4+1 barbecue pork deal. The meat is very tender and not cook through. It didn't came wrapped in aluminum pouch as they did months ago. This time it was wrapped in a thin foil so it was already cold when we reached home, needed to re-heat it in the oven. The Tilapia escabeche (sweet & sour fish) was mediocre at $10.99 price tag. We will never go back here again. We get better quality food from a nearby Filipino store. If you want pure garbage food, come here!!!

This was my second time here. It's basically an assembly line type thing. Like when you go to Chinese restaurants at the mall.I will add that the portions are generous! We all ordered chicken BBQ kabob with 2 scoops of rice. It comes with a side! But the rice already makes it pretty filling. I got a side of pancit bihon which tasted decent.I also got two eggs that were cooked a bit runny. Again, generous for the portions and the price. I'm sure I'll return.

Grill City's Chicken kabob was awesome. I had a choice from pork and/or chicken and I tried them both. The pork was great in flavor but the meat was mostly fatty. The Chicken was the best, considering that the kabob was not dry but rather juicy. I did not opt for the rice but just the kabob itself was worth the wait in line for. The Special they had that day was buy 4 kabob and get one free. Tip = Buy the chicken.

Warning! TOURIST PRICES AHEAD!The quality of their BBQ was good. Although I'm not about to pay $5 for a stick of pork kabob - that's so overpriced.Their Palabok and Chicken Inasal was alright - same case OVERPRICED!!!

in its early years, service was slow, inefficient and friendly. Undestand they may have been working out the system. It's now slower, more inefficient and unfriendly. Food Quality has gone down while prices have increased. Order takers are also the cashiers so the cash registers are unmanned often, and Hands that touched your food also touch the registers and payments. I recently stood there to ask a question and 3 workers intentionally and obviously avoided eye contact. disappointing experience. I've been a solid customer for years but not anymore. With so many Filipino eateries opening the neighborhood, there are much better options for Food and customer service.

It's a hit or miss with some dishes and are overpriced. It's good but it's just not that good to pay such an expensive amount. Anyways, the salmon teryaki is a winner! Some servers are just not that friendly and dismissive too.
