Food is amazing! Love the ambience and the people are so friendly! Exceptional experience and drink were amazing

Bullet points because they're the best :)* Server: Meg - She was great! Knowledgeable about the food items and presented recommendations when asked. Very attentive and friendly. Made the experience great!-Food-* Crispy Calamari & Shishito Peppers - Made to perfection. Texture was great and the quality was excellent. A thin layer of breading that was wrapped in a gentle seasoning and paired with Shishito Peppers. Delicious!* Prime Wet-aged filet mignon center cut 8oz - Perfect! Very juicy and tender. Cooked perfectly and tasted excellent.* Scallops - the best scallops I've had. Top tier. -Atmosphere-They have a couple sections, on the lower level is a bar area that then separates into larger tables for groups. On the second level they offer both small and large tables. Fireplace is inside and a wall of wine on display. Great experience, I'll be back.

I feel bad giving three stars because overall it was good, just didn't meet our expectations, and the 3.75% surcharge at the end always pisses me off, it's no longer necessary and feels like a scam, there's no excuse for this any longer and I will always mention it no matter what my dining experience is. We like to try nice upscale steakhouse restaurants, and this was our anniversary, so I used Yelp to help me find a new place to try. We've been happy with Ruth Chris, Donovans, Flemmings, and Island Prime over the years, each has an elegant upscale feel, and the food and service is great. And, if they know in advance that it's a special occasion like an anniversary, they acknowledge the occasion. This wasn't the case for Greystone. The food was just "good enough", but nothing special. The service was just good enough too, nothing to complain about, but nothing special either. I had the NY Strip and my wife had a chicken dish. I wanted medium rare but the steak was definitely medium, which again is okay, I'm not going to send it back, but not as good as Donovan's or Flemmings who nail it ever time we've bone and season to perfection. The usual fresh bread we've come to expect isn't part of the dining experience at Greystone, again, no big deal, but seems to be the norm these days and we were surprised Greystone doesn't do it. My green bean mushroom side was below average, it could have easily come from a frozen microwavable meal and I wouldn't have known the difference, nothing about it felt like a chef was involved. In the end it just felt like an ordinary night out and an ordinary steakhouse..."nothing special", and for those prices it should be. I wanted my wife to feel like I took her to a really nice place, but it felt more like just another "date night" dinner.

Hands down for service! Definitely 5 star! Bone marrow had bacon on top and normally I'm not one to turn down bacon but it made the appetizer very salty, I say half the bacon and add more toast. Greystone salad was over dressed. But can't go wrong with potato your way. The highly of the meal was the wagyu, absolutely delicious and well prepared, we had both the Australian and Japanese. It was nice to try it side by side. Wrapped it up with a complimentary dessert of yuzu cheesecake made it a delightful meal.

Attended a dinner here with several folks for a celebration and we were in a private room surrounded with wines and a pretty chandelier. It was a prefix menu of delicious and tender prime rib, pear salad with blue cheese, creamy mash potatoes, calamari appetizer and dessert of chocolate mousse or cheesecake. It was a delicious meal flowing with wine and cocktail. We had a special service with the manager Sara and a couple of waiters. They were all very helpful and dinner was serve expeditiously. Place looks very classy too. Definitely a treat to dine here.

The food is so good!!! But if I'm being honest.... The people who work here are THE BEST PART! Rob at the bar makes the scene. It's some of the best team work and subvert I've ever seen in a restaurant. They all have so much fun with each other and are always cracking jokes! I love the vibes here, and of course the food and ambiance is top notch!

Came during restaurant week. I wasn't expecting the best but I wasn't expecting the worst I've ever had and yet this exceeded my expectations. It was by far the worst steakhouse I've ever been too. It's less than Outback Steakhouse and black Angus and it's comparable to maybe chillis.Everything tasted prepared days prior. The sauces tasted microwaved, and I literally saw a huge tower of partially cooked steaks in the kitchen that were partially cooked and ready for quick distribution.Our server was horrible. Nice, pretty, but we got our appetizers and less than 5 minutes later our steaks showed up. Wonderful.So microwaved food with rough service and a $250 bill. This isn't a San Diego steakhouse, this is more like a Santee Sizzler. Avoid at all costs if you're a local, highly recommend elsewhere if you're a tourist.

This place is simply amazing, the food is delicious, the service is amazing, the drinks are to die for, Sara is such a gracious host. It must visit restaurant in San Diego

We absolutely love the food and the service. And we visit every couple of months as well as hosting my nephews birthday party there in the private room a few months ago. However, on this past occasion on Saturday July 13, 2024 we were a bit surprised by the lack of professionalism and personality of the Hostess. She seemed as if she didn't want to be there and stayed texting on her phone as we walked up. When she did finally acknowledge, her attitude was less than inviting. I still highly recommend Greystone for the great food and usual great service.

On our weekend get-away, my sister and I decided to have dinner at Greystone's this past weekend. We enjoyed great food, great tequila, and even better service! Frenchie, our waiter, recommended the perfect meal for us, was friendly and attentive, and he topped off the evening with a glass of bubbly!I like my tequila and enjoy trying new ones, so I was happy to talk tequila with Rob the bartender. I have a couple of new favorites now. All in all, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner!
