A Hidden in plain sight gem on Whidbey Island on the main highway in the tiny town of Greenbank. Along with the post office and a weed shop and the bakery owned by the same folks, it's pretty much Greenbank, ust south of the Greenbank Farms complex/dog park . The sandwiches are amazing- on par with anything in the Seattle area. The Rueben, Tuna Melt, and Nomad are some of our favorites. The fresh bread they use from island bakeries really makes their sandwiches special, and you can buy several varieties in the store. Call ahead because they're almost always backed up with orders especially on Friday and Saturdays. For those of you that are gluten-free you can get any of their sandwiches as a salad as well. And the tiny pantry store is stocked with everything you would need to make a gourmet meal with while on your weekend Island vacation.

Terrific gourmet sandwich shop--when we're too tired to cook or want something simple for dinner, we rely on our friends at Greenbank Pantry to assemble their delicious sandwiches on fresh, homemade bread. Good deli sandwiches. They had a half hour wait when we arrived shortly after 11. Next time we will call ahead to avoid the wait. The Reuben and the Mushroom Melt were both delicious.

You'll not find a better sandwich on the island. Or pretty much anywhere within two hours drive. Even then, there might be fighting' words; they do a mean sammich here, and people drive miles and wait patiently (usually) to get it.It's small, hot and fragrant inside. There's often a line out the door. There's a good reason for that. Their grocery selection is worth a look, too. Not your typical convenience grocer. Excellent imports, gourmet ingredients and local breads, essential produce and dairy, with a thoughtfully curated beer, wine and cider selection are all shoe-horned into this wee shop.Not to be missed. Tip: Call and order ahead for lunch. Get a pickle with your sandwich...but mind you, they are huge, so share maybe. You were warned.

A delicious stop for a sandwich if you are willing to wait! We came late on a Saturday afternoon thinking we'd be after the lunch rush. Though it didn't look too busy we were told the wait would be about an hour. I think many locals place orders online and come for pick up. We walked through the weed shop next door and then waited outside at a table. Was quite hot in the sun and would have been nice to have a shade option. Just when we were convinced the wait was not worth it, our sandwiches were ready. I had a delicious Ruben that was fresh and tasty. The Italian sandwich was great as well. Would be happy to eat here again but only for a pick up order

Best sandwiches EVER!! Friendly people- I sometimes go in just for a coffee and the amazing scent of whatever they are creating. They also have distinctive choices in grocery/pantry items. Love this place!!
