Super cute restaurant! We were walking around the area and my feet were so tired after walking to the Zoo from the Loop. We happened to walk past while we were super hungry so we stopped by! We both got Sushi B (Lunch) coincidentally and we enjoyed it so much! It was a great price and it was fun seeing what the chef's chose for us. The waitress was very nice and did take a second to get the bill as she was the only one working. I saw her check up on everyone all the time so she definitely goes above and beyond!Overall this was a great, accidental visit! Would definitely want to try a bento or a poke bowl next time as I was eyeing the bentos the people next to us ordered haha.

Fish was fresh! Sushi was great! Sides, not so much. Edamame & miso was doused in salt. Gomae was too sugary. The host was attentive, kid friendly and kind, making it a very nice experience.

This restaurant was my favorite neighborhood sushi place until a year or two ago when quality and consistency went down (after the original chef owner left). I eat there and order from there quite often. The rolls depends on the "chef" who is covering for the day. I just called them to give them feedback about the inconsistent quality and size of the rolls they send and how they missed my instructions on this order, unfortunately they were not helpful at all and it did not matter that I was their neighbor, a regular who spends thousands of dollars there a quarter. They could have made it right but chose not to. I am very disappointed with their service. It was also very hard to communicate with them.

I haven't been to much Sushi in the city yet, however I was soo happy with my experience at Green Tea Japanese! I came to dine-in on a Monday and we were the only people eating inside. However, over the course of 2 hours, at least 15 people came in for to-go orders. It is a small restaurant, so if you want to come on a weekend I'd make a reservation. Ordered the edamame, which was hot, large, and nicely salted. I ordered the spicy tuna and the spider roll, also tried the hamachi. The rolls are all really large, really good quality fish, and so flavorful. The staff was also incredibly friendly. I only have good things to say about my experience at Green Tea. I will be back!

Green Tea was our favorite Sushi restaurant some years ago when we lived in the city because of its good quality sushi and reasonable prices. We were visiting the Chicago History Museum a week ago and decided to have dinner at Green Tea again, we were very happy that they survived the Pandemic and maintain their high Standard of food and service. We ordered many Maki Rolls(best value) and all of them are fresh and delicious. We dine with two friends from the city and they said it was the best sushi they have eaten in the city. It's not a big restaurant but everything is nice and neat; we will definitely come back when we're in the neighborhood.

Cute little Japanese place on Clark very close to Lincoln Park Zoo. Came here with family of 5. I got a "new" tuna poke bowl, and it was fantastic- tuna poke with seaweed salad, edamame, avocado, and mixed greens over rice. Beautiful presentation and delicious. Rest of my family got a variety of rolls, a bento box, gyoza, and tonkatsu ramen. Everything was quite good. Ambiance was of a quaint neighborhood place. Seating is very limited- they were able to fit our party of five near the front, but otherwise it's tables for two, or sit at the bar. And prices were quite reasonable- I live in California and would have expected to pay $200 whereas this was $135 with tax and tip.

I really love sushi, because of that I have explored many of the local spots in Lincoln Park. Of the dozen or so I have tried around Lincoln Park, this place is a gem. It's small, perfect place for an intimate date or quiet place out with some friends. It's also BYOB which is a perk. We ordered the hamachi carpaccio, seaweed salad, sashimi appetizer, aburi sake and a spicy tuna maki roll. The hamachi was very memorable, fish melted in your mouth with a little spicy kick from the pepper. The sashimi appetizer had a few different fish, but the white tuna was the most unique. I haven't ever had a white tuna. The best dish hands down was the aburi sake, because of the depth of flavor, the smoky taste from the seared salmon and the spice from the mayo.
