Green Basil

Overall, good experience. Waiter was nice and attentive. Quick service and always had a full water cup. The menu had a lot to offer- Chinese, Thai, Japanese, etc. plenty of variety to choose from! I personally had the General Tso's Chicken and was satisfied. A bit more sauce than I normally prefer, but there was plenty of flavor and the chicken had a good crisp to it! I used the rice to offset the sauce. The drunken noodles were good too. The bite I tried off my partners plate had good flavor and a nice spicy kick to it. The decor could do with a revamp (one of the booth seats we sat at was broken and would tilt/come of completely as you stood up. You can definitely tell the place has been around a while.

First off, those donuts! Make sure you try them. I ordered via Uber eats and my food was packaged well and still steaming when I received it. Happy customer for sure.

They say sometimes God will take your mess and turn it into a message. I wasn't even supposed to be here today ya feel me! Called in a takeout order of the General Tso's lunch special with fried rice and pulled up ten minutes later to Sweet Basil next to the Kroger. Walked up and saw the door was locked. Congrats, I played myself.Looked at the number I called for the order and turns out it's GREEN Basil. I thought what the hell is that?! But that's alright, I drove the 12 minutes over.First, I walked in and the nice young Asian man at the counter asked me how my day was in a very earnest way. I like that. People don't do that no more too much and so I appreciate the kindness. Give that boy a raise. Also gave me extra mustard. Went to pay and he said that'll be $8.72. I looked at that bag and all that food and thought $8.72? In this economy? We talking Bidenomics? How dey do dat? Mickey D's ain't giving yall them prices any more. Chick-Fil-A I be dropping like $17 now. Thank you, Green Basil, for keeping it real. Got home and that food hit. You know ya boy in that bulk era. But you know sometimes you get that General chicken and fried rice and you feel like you gonna pass out? Like ya stomach bloated? Like you done drank them like three Busch Heavy real quick and now them Falcons lookin kinda fuzzy on the screen? None of that. Crispy chicken great sauce and rice and ya boy feeling nice. Also I gotta say, the Asian places that serve Chinese, Thai, sushi, etc. all in one spot? I know some of yall be cultural gatekeeping and saying that ain't authentic. But them immigrants know what yall gone eat and that's why they make it all. Ain't nothin more Asian than figuring out how to survive. Talmbout authentic.

Good food! I've only ordered take-out and have walked away satisfied with the quality and portions. You honestly cannot go wrong ordering food from here. They have a range of Asian dishes. I personally enjoy their curry. It's so good for take/out. Highly recommend if you're craving a specific dish, like a Thai fried rice, Chow Mein, pad Thai ...

Just moved to the area. I ordered the pad Thai and Gen Tsos and was pleasantly surprised!

This was my first time here. The young man that served us was so pleasant and patient. He provided excellent service from start to finish. They have a pretty extensive menu, so it took a while to decide what we wanted. We opted for 2 large soups- egg drop and hot and sour and an order of shrimp egg foo young. The soups were $4.25 and the portion size was well worth it. We enjoyed the noodles that were served with the soup. The shrimp egg foo young were pretty good, too. The total cost of our meal was $24. I'll return and check out a few more dishes.

Ate lunch there yesterday for first time. We started with the crab rangoons which were hot, crispy & tasty. Hubby had the Spicy Thai Basil chicken. It had quite a kick. Very good. I had the honey walnut shrimp (off dinner menu). It was also very good. For the cost though, next time I'll just order off the lunch menu.Server was nice & attentive with the drink refills. We'll return.

5 Stars all day... This is that whole in the wall that has Grandma cooking. The menu is like a cheesecake factory menu (a novel)... The variety is endless and the taste is perfection... This place is above rubies and must be in the collection

I would have to say that this was disappointing. We didn't find anything offensive. The restaurant does an incredible take out business. But for us, nothing tasted fresh. The egg rolls and soup were fine, but the general tso chicken was off putting. I would say it tasted like a jarred sauce. It was way too sweet, and had a strange flavor to it. General Tso's typically has a nice heat to it. This one was much more like an orange chicken sauce. The service was very good. The interior was set up like it clearly is a primarily take out restaurant. We were one of only two tables to dine in. I can say I don't recommend the General Tsos and this was shared by my husband and I. Hopefully other reviews will steer you toward a recommended dish.

This restaurant was okay , there was couple of dishes that's were good or okay and some not so good. The service was good the waiter was very kind and respectful to us. Greeted us answered qs about the menu. But the Restaraunt was a little outdated. The booth I was sitting at the bottom of the bench was coming off?? They really need to renovate. They had a buffet island. But was not in use. Don't know the reason. But looks tacky. But food overall was good.
