Literally the worst falafel I've ever had. It was soft and sponge like texture. Smelled horrible! Disgusting.
Appetizer platter for two!

Going to move to San Diego so scouting out restaurants around where we want to live. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday. Only one other table was occupied when we came in. There were quite a few takeout orders while we were having lunch, so maybe they do a good takeout business during the week. The server who greeted us said we could sit anywhere. He gave us our menus right away and once we put our menus down, he came right away to take our order. I ordered the Pita Sandwich and a bowl of Avgolemono soup. My sister ordered the Gyro Salad. My gyro sandwich had plenty of Gyro meat. The meat and the pita were moist and not dry. The tzatziki sauce was a little bit runny for my taste, but the flavor was good. My avgolemono soup had good balance between the tartness of the lemon and creaminess of the egg. The pita bread that came with the soup was soft and moist. My sister said her gyro salad was good. She also said her gyro meat was tender and not dry. All in all I think this place is a keeper.

Had higher expectations based on the review. Chicken Wrap- Dry, chicken too crunchy, not representative of a kabob. Humus- no taste, also on the drier side. Service: Not an issue, very pleasant young man at the front.

We were craving some Greek food so we came here on the recommendation of a friend.Such a cute spot with pretty murals on the walls and some outdoor seating as well. The staff was so friendly and explained the menu to us and made some recommendations for our order. We tried: Greek Coffee Mythos Beer Appetizer Combo Grilled Halloumi Moussaka Greek Combo Plate w/ Chicken & Souvlaki Zeus Kabob Combo w/ Barg & Kofta Baklava The Appetizer Combo comes with veggies, olives & pita for dipping with hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh and tarmasalata (cream cheese w/onion & fish roe). The halloumi is perfectly grilled to delicious perfection. The moussaka is so dreamy and comes with a huge salad and rice as well. The meats here are so good, and come with garlic sauce and tsaziki for dipping. The baklava is the traditional Greek walnut cinnamon and so yummy. They do have some vegetarian and halal options here as well so you're sure to find something for everyone!

I am a big fan of Greek Food. When you are in San Diego this is the place to go. You can either sit down or order to go. There is something for everyone. My daughter who is vegetarian found their vegetarian plate to be delightful. All their plates are filling and come with Pita Bread and a salad. So yummy. The owner was very kind and welcoming. Service was decent. Our waters were filled constantly and order were taken promptly. There is inside and outside seating. The restaurant is relatively quiet and peaceful. The food was delicious. I got the Lamb Shank plate was really tasty. We will be back in the near future. When you are in town check out this local favorite.

Ordered 3 gyro plates on Uber Eats and it arrived with one tiny cup of tzatziki sauce. $70 order gets us sharing an ounce of tzatziki.. thanks..

We used to go to this place before Covid because their Kebob and Salads taste perfect, not salty but tasty. I'd rate that past experience 5-star. This time, two reasons why we gave this place only 4 stars are: 1. Over-priced for a neighborhood restaurant at Rancho Bernardo/Poway area. A 2-skewer Kebob plate for almost $30 is way too much considering that we just ate at Baba Kebob in Miramar and their 2-skewer Chicken Kebob plate is around $20. 2. So many comparable Greek/Mediterranean restaurants in the area that offer the same items at reasonable price. This place has to offer something special and unique to be able to justify their premium price. A 4-star rating is still okay but to get a 5-star rating, I recommend adding speciality items in your menu that can justify why you can charge more.

If you are craving Greek food, the menu has a good variety of traditional dishes. It's a busy and popular place and the staff is friendly. The execution on my order was variable and overall I'd say this place is just ok. The positives: excellent gyro, good and generous portion of salad on my platter. They also used Kalamata olives which I love and the pepperoncini was fresh. The disappointments- I swapped out fries for rice and they were just too greasy. I think they were old and refried just before serving. The pita was cut into little wedges but it was too small to make little sandwich portions of my meal. The Avgolemeno soup was a major disappointment. This is my favorite soup and Greek dish and what I use as my "litmus test " for Greek restaurants. This variation was far from traditional. They used carrots and brown rice and it was way too salty. The brown rice is a strong flavor and takes away from the soup. The carrots..... why? Why on earth add carrots?!It changed the color to a very unappetizing look of mud and altered the flavor too much. Please go back to the traditional recipe! The gyros were the best item on my plate- perhaps a sandwich would be better next time. I'll come back as I want to explore other items - I just hope they are made in the traditional way. I come from a Greek family in Chicago and have been to several Greek restaurants to compare. From a service side, I wish they cleared my soup bowl before bringing my entree- it sat on the table the entire time I was there. It does have a charming Greek decor. But overall, this is a decent place if you are craving Greek food but the execution is mixed for me.

I live in Rancho Bernardo and go to the Trader Joe's in this shopping center every week. Greek Corner Cafe is right at the corner of that shopping center. I stopped in there tonight with a strong craving for tzatziki and ended up ordering 2 plates with gyros, chicken, rice and lamb kabobs. And don't forget the Greek salad, olives and pepperoncinis. Everything was packaged perfectly (and beautifully, I might add, down to the feta cheese crumbles on the salad!) with no chance for spills. Maroun was so kind and meticulous - you can tell he takes pride in his dishes (he makes the tzatziki himself!) and Nicole had a sweet face to greet us with and made sure we got everything we wanted. I will be back!!
