Great Happiness

So so so yummy. This might just be the best chinese food I've ever had. Very authentic & fresh. The orange chicken & string bean chicken is AMAZING. Super sweet lady running the shop that made us food fresh as we ordered since they were low. She was very generous and gave us a lot of food. Note that its cash only! Store is clearly older, but dont let its appearance fool you. This food is awesome!!

If you're thinking about stopping by Panda Express for your guilty pleasure Chinese takeout fix-- STOP NOW and head over to GREAT HAPPINESS instead ! We've been regulars for years, and the orange chicken here is the reason why ! Long story short, my husband used to rent one of the houses from the owners of this Chinese takeout joint about 10 years ago back in the day-- one day when delivering rent money, they gave us a box of complimentary food, and we've been loyal ever since !This is a mom and shop owned place and they honestly are the sweetest couple ever ! Located in a busy parking lot shared with 711 and a flower shop-- but cars come and go fairly quick . The interior is a little outdated, but don't judge a book by its cover, cause let me tell you about a few of my fav dishes: ORANGE CHICKEN-- this is the best orange chicken in SD ! They only use "white meat" quoted from the owners lol. Perfect meat to batter ratio, crisp, chewy, and the sauce is sooo flavorful without being overpowering! A MUST TRY . 10/10BEEF AND BROCCOLI-- so savory and delicious ! Everything you've ever dreamed about in a beef and broccoli dish, except tastier . I love how they add bell peppers, carrots, and onions ! 9/10SPICY BEEF-- similar to the beef and broccoli, but with different veggies . The spicy is actually not too spicy-- my almost three year old can enjoy it with no issues . 8.5/10SALT&PEPPER WINGS-- basic, yet so bougie . Flavor is spot on, light crunchy batter, and addicting to eat . Only thing is I wish it had fried garlic and green onions . 7/10VEGGIE EGGROLLS-- Shanghai style long eggrolls with marinated cabbage, onions, and carrots . So satisfying and yummy ! 8/10Overall, Great Happiness is one of our favorites for hole-in-the wall Chinese takeout . We don't really go for combo meals with rice and noodles-- but I always see people picking this up . I've always recommended friends and family who ask me for Chinese takeout to pick-up here to satisfy the craving ! Go for the OG orange chicken and let me know what yaa think ! Ps-- they also have party trays perfect for potlucks or bday parties, but call a few days in advanced to order (:

Price is on the higher side. Portions on the lower side. No credit cards accepted. And, the ONLY Chinese food joint that I've ever been to that doesn't have chopsticks.

This place was so good the beautiful lady cooks amazing very friendly. I will be back over and over.

This places sucks. I wouldn't eat here again. You want good Chinese food, go to Great Wall express. Cheaper and they hook you up.

Kim was so sweet! As a kid who's parents were immigrants running their own restaurants in Reno and the Bay, I can attest that this is one of those certified dope hole-in-the-wall Chinese spots where you can cop a solid amount of grub for under $10! I got soup, fried rice, noodles, teriyaki chicken, and BBQ pork

This is one of my favorite Chinese food-to-go places. Great selections to choose from and although on the pricier side, the lady gives generous portions. The only downside is the cash only.

Love this place. Really nice couple own this chinese buffet style restaurant. Absolutely everything on the menu is great!!
