Great Happiness Chinese Fast Food II

I had noodles and rice 2 ítem combo with orange chicken (not my style) and king pao no peanuts. CASH ONLY! Orange chicken was not what I wanted in taste, don't know how to explain, but not for me. Also had kungpao chicken which came with no peanuts, my favorite part are the peanuts...oh well. Im trying to say something good about food, it just not for me. The rice had to much pepper and it was a little on the most side, I tend to like to more dry fried rice. The noodles had a fish taste, SLIGHTLY taste. Very nice people.This is my 2nd time here, I was giving it another try, but still taste the same. This rating is food only rating. Customer service was great

Place is cash only. Place is okay and sub par. Spend your money elsewhere. This is for people who want to go to Panda Express lower tier version.

Pretty good! They have a pretty decent selection of food. They have a combo deal that's worth the price. They also only take cash. So be aware!

I want to take some time and thank this place because they have been kind tk me and the smiles they give out is most welcoming ,thank you for making me and my family feel like we're are part of yours. J want to say that this is the best place to come get some Chinese food. Even for the whole family that could feed be really hungry lol But k have been coming to this place for some time now and the love that comes out of her is very unique and I really appreciate the smiles and the respect that the husband and wife could give out. That you so much for all you do

Ok this place is a whole in the wall with a whole lot missing. Not trying to be snobby but the owners are Viet and in no way Chinese (I know MicIheal the owner) and no this is not personal my honest opinion of the food and environment. I first started going there maybe 15 years ago and the owner was a very easy man to talk to. He would then come into a Newspaper/ magazine stand that I worked on third Ave and purchase lotto. We would always smoke out front and chat it up. Other than halitosis and a man who's story always has to top your it was alright chatting it up. Back to the restaurant or more like food sitting in greasy oil filled sauce for hours and hours then soaked in so much MSG it can't be eaten without 2 drinks, and I mean 2 12 oz cans because your palette loses all ability to taste if not constantly washed. My father (RIP) was a Mexican man whom enjoyed the spare ribs with char Seu like reddish oil they sit in. I went to keep him company and allot of the time because the owners wife is very very nice they would kick down some free food why my pops really liked it. So other than greasy food cooked on a flat top like a Dennys and never a wok like proper tze char uncle should. Beware for aMsg dose that's probably more than you should have in a month. And good that been sitting under a heat lamp for hours and very costly for most of this style food is. And a man whom drives a Mercedes' Benz suv a corvette and complains about the costs of everything being so expensive he's gonna close down soon , maybe if you want a powdered Thai Tea with 2 day old boba there is absolutely no reason to try this place. I am very very surprised by the other reviews except the 2 people whom got food poisoning. Sorry but I would be would expect this place to be Asked to not even call this Chinese food............. But oddly because of the nice wife 1 star and just the cray stories I have been told by this "chef" earned it another star. But Chula Vista would be a better place if this place was no longer.

This place is like your favorite hole in the wall spot. Small spot with huge flavor. My favorite is the mushroom chicken.

Better than most Chinese takeouts in LA, and trust me, I've tried a few. Their lo mein had some wok hai, fried rice had a non-traditional yellowish color but had a nice fragrance too, I know nice amount of green peas which I really liked. They beef and broccoli was garlicy with just the right mount of salt and sweet. The meat was tender and the vegetables not overcooked and yet not extremely crunchy like in some places where you feel you are eating raw vegetables. Last but not least, I didn't taste too much MSG on the food, which is always a big plus in places like these. I will stop by again if I'm in the area for sure. Their chef special wings and other barbecue meats looked scrumptiously delicious. Highly recommend!

This place is ight . Chow mein does it really taste like anything to be honest. Orange chicken tasted a bit like the freezer. Teriyaki chicken was too salty, it wasn't like the other Chinese food places where they cut it in front of you . I also had some egg rolls which were very chewy and interesting. Btw I had the United pizza next door that place was ight was well . I ask for extra pepperoni and didn't meet my demand and expectations .

My family (Franco) have been going here and only here since 1993. It is the best Chinese food we have ever tasted! Not only that but the lady behind the counter (I can't remember her name at the moment/ I'm terrible with names!) is one the sweetest nicest prettiest women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! I may have a crush on her but I promise you that the food is excellent! Please try this restaurant at least once if your in my neighborhood. Thank you.
