Cool local spot for fresh pastries, yummy coffee, and delicious paninis. The chicken panini with sun dried tomatoes on focaccia is excellent, and I also always order a ham and cheese pastry to go when I come here! Sadly there's no Wi-Fi, or else I would come here all the time to get some work done and enjoy the food and ambiance.

Dare I say - the best bagel I've had outside NY. I said what I said. Decent selection of treats and quiche. Friendly and fast. There is a sunroom to sit and read or enjoy a conversation. The inside is basic but bagel places usually are.

Easy parking and plenty of space for seating. I came here on a Wednesday morning and loved the cozy vibe of this cafe. The food was delicious and at a good price. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave me good tips on what to order. Will be back soon

Grateful Bread is a small bakery and cafe with some great options. We bought several different items ranging from both savory and sweet. The sausage and egg bagel sandwich tasted just like Einsteins, which I am a huge fan of. All of the sweets were fresh and great sizes. The cinnamon roll was delicious! They also sell bags of assorted day-old bagels at just $5, which we scarfed up for breakfast the next morning. PSA, they're just as good a few days later.

We came in as a party of 2 on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. We love their location and it was so easy to park here! It was easy to find seating despite the morning rush. We enjoyed a chocolate croissant, coffee and a slice of their smoked salmon quiche. So. Good. Their pastries both sweet and savory are delectable. I can't wait to come back!

With a name like "Gateful Bread", wouldn't you at least expect them to get the bread right? The rye on my pastrami sandwich was dense, dry and hard...and hardly had a crust! The few thin slices of meat were about what I expected.I'd rather go to Subway...It's hip and woke.

Grateful Bread is totally OG Seattle, like that well worn, familiar, cozy sweater. Again, I was surprised I had not reviewed this spot until now. I stopped by on a rainy day (10/2/23), but had been visiting off and on since the early 1990s when I moved to Ravenna from Queen Anne. It was also a popular spot visiting from Shoreline when The Homie was still a toddler/preschooler. He enjoyed the grilled cheese or pb&j on their homemade bread. This is a totally old school bakery and cafe. But it has staying power because it is a welcoming, generous gathering spot in Seattle's Wedgwood neighborhood. It held its own and able to co-exist with a Top Pot doughnut shop across the street.I decided to hangout onsite to enjoy a hot mocha and a pain au chocolat. There was a constant line of customers and most of the tables were occupied the entire time I was there. A pleasant serene vibe and devoid of any hipster attitude. A major plus!

When I tried a bagel from this place, it tasted like bread my mom used to make by hand 40 years ago. It's just a certain taste that you just don't get from places that use ingredients that 'extends" shelf life.Advice don't get day old bread from this place. Get things they sell a lot of and have high turnover.
