Came here on vacation.Food and service was great.We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather and they had misters to cool off a little more.

Discovered this little gem on a recent trip to Scottsdale, and what a great find! Got there at 4:30, and they said they could seat us, but the table was reserved for 5:30, so we had to be done by then...seemed a little odd, but ok, fair enough. I said hey, you get the food out quick and we'll be fine. So, not the best start, but it was ok. The rest of the experience was awesome. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was very good, my wife had the grilled salmon, which was just outstanding, our friends enjoyed their meals also. The food was prompt, and we made it out at 5:35 without incident! JKIt was a very nice place to enjoy a meal with friends.

Met family who was in town for drinks and dinner on a Monday night. Had a 515p reservation and was surprised to see how busy the place was. Was seated right away and after a few minutes our server came by to get our drink order. We were a group of 8 so they had 2 servers assisting us. One server was attentive. The other was completely absent. Horrible service. When it came time for our bill, all of them were wrong. She was informed right away we wanted separate tickets. It took 3x to get it correct. Even management was not very accessible to get help. Food was outstanding, but our service was so awful that I probably wouldn't go back. Ordered some HH drinks and food (burrata was AMAZING). Seared Ahi dish was delicious. Soup of the day was fantastic. It's unfortunate of our experience. I wish our server would have expressed if she was new or maybe overwhelmed. IDK - maybe ask a manager for some help, but non of that happened. Management never once stopped to see how we were doing or how our meals were. Often times drink glasses were empty, yet they were quick to come get dirty dishes - even before we were finished with the food.

Did someone say new hang out? Oh yes that was me yelling that. This place is so cute, so affordable and has such good service. I don't think my diet Pepsi was ever low and my friends water was always full. It's the little things when it comes to a new hang out really.

Always a good experience at Grassroots! Quality of the food is always amazing and delicious each time I visit. Never have left disappointed or hungry :) Took my nana here today for a birthday lunch and she loved it.

Ok seriously. Reliable yum factor and I 10 outta 10 recommend. I read other reviews and I'm not sure what hostess was rude or what looks worn... it is delightful and everyone was kind and professional. We stayed for a week and we ate there four times because the food was so yummy. Not pictures but the burrata was delish Cool atmosphere, modern urban desert chic

We needed a quick dinner after running around doing wedding errands and were nearby. Thankfully we showed up and easily found seats at the bar. After being here for 5 mins - I realized how eerily familiar it all was. It was because it's the sibling restaurant to my other favorite spot, The Macintosh. Great old fashioned cocktails just like Macintosh. Great yummy southern inspired meals just like Macintosh as well. Highly recommend it!

Stopped by after golf to try it out. I had the Pretty Lady and my husband had Thymes Like This...they were so good!!!! Beautiful space land very cool ambiance! Can't wait to go back

We LOVE Grassroots!! Every time we are in Phoenix/Scottsdale, we visit this farm-to-table style restaurant.First, as a celiac, it is nirvana! They take gluten seriously, and not just as an annoyance. Second, with a menu containing such fresh and innovative options, it's no hardship to navigate your meal. Rob, our darling waiter, was very attentive to my needs.My husband and I split the Farmers Vegetable Chop, which is just scrumptious, with a terrific balance of savory and sweet; and just the right amount of crunch.We then had the Spit Fire chicken, swapping out the dirty orzo with their grilled broccoli (daily special). The chicken was off the chain, particularly the dark meat -- juicy, flavorful and crazy good. The broccoli benefited from all that well-seasoned juice, but was clearly delicious on its own.With my gluten issues, Rob suggested a scoop of vanilla ice cream with both chocolate and caramel (I'm a caramel girl; me hubs likes chocolate!)...... just enough and absolutely divine. I was scraping the bowl to get every bit of the caramel!Run, don't walk, when you're in Scottsdale. The whole place is lovely, especially the patio, and the staff is great.
