We can't here for dinner during our stay at the hotel. Place looks very nice and fancy.I got the old fashioned and the veal. Server suggested I get it medium rare as the cut is lean and it turned out perfect. They also had this amazing focaccia bread that I struggled to not inhale.Food and drinks were great, service was even better. They stayed on top of water refills and were very friendly.Would definitely come back.

We always go back to this place when we are attending an event at the Civic Center. The lounge is amazing and constantly has great food, great service and lovely ambiance. Prices are also good which is a g very nice surprise these days. I can't recommend this place enough. If you are in the area, please try them out, you won't be disappointed. Share your experience as well. Happy meals!

LUNCH DINING EXPERIENCE A very lovely experience. Enrique and Roberto took care of us. They were very pleasant and kind. Last time we were here was for Dinner. I actually enjoyed my lunch experience more. We ordered the following...*COBB SALAD- Artisan Mix Greens, Pancetta, Hard Boiled Eggs, Cucumber, Cherry Tomato, Avocado, Smoked Blue Cheese DressingI Added Wild Tiger Shrimp *GRANT GRILL ALL NATURAL BEEF BURGER-Comte Cheese, Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Bread and Butter Pickles, Butter Leaf Lettuce, Brioche Bun*GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH -Arugula, Fried Green Tomatoes, Fontina Cheese, Tarragon Aioli, Onion BatardThe entrees were all delicious. The presentation was top notch. We heard they have really delicious burgers here. That's definitely true. I also enjoyed my salad with the nice plump shrimp. The chicken sandwiches were filling. On the down side, the fries could have been crispy and their "ketchup" was different. For dessert we chose... *LEMON-LIME BRÚLÉE -Coconut Curd, White Chocolate, Shortbread*STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE- Semifreddo, Grilled Pound Cake, Rhubarb Vanilla GastriqueAgain, beautiful presentation. The both were yummy but not overpowering sweet which is nice. Overall excellent experience. I actually enjoyed the lunch over dinner experience.

Excellent service! Loved the charcuterie trays as appetizers, rib eye and Chilean sea bass was excellant. Also the side dish of sautéed kale was so good. The only downfall was the grant old fashioned. It was horrible, like open bar wedding horrible.

During our recent stay at the Grant, we were fortunate enough to dine twice at Grant Grill. Our lunch was outstanding and here is why - service was perfect (and I do not use that word lightly), ambiance was well suited to our lunch meeting and the food was out of this world (mock turtle soup is not to be missed! Halibut special was one of the best halibut dishes I've ever enjoyed). Later the same day, we had dinner at the Grill. We started off by enjoying the amazing fresh bread baked onsite each day (we wanted to eat 2 loaves, it was so good), and moved on to the soup of the day (creamy mushroom - so decadent and delicious) and the caesar salad. For my entree I enjoyed the seared ahi and my husband had the ribeye. We both cleaned our plates. Everything was fabulous. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend Grant Grill and we cannot wait for our next visit.

What the focaccia just happened in my mouth!? Seriously the bread they start you with is a domed focaccia that is mind blowing. I'm not a grimlin for bread but ima tell you that we will go back just to have this bread. The rest of the food was ok. Some of it was good, some of it was meh. We absolutely will be back to try more things and see if it was just the items we ordered that were ok. They have valet and they are very close to both theaters downtown so it's a great place to grab a drink and dinner before a show. Our server was over the top amazing so between him and the bread, we will be back!

We came in for drinks and light bites and had a great time. The Smashing Pumpkin was a delicious sweet cocktail that is only available during the holiday season. Lieutenant Cave was a strong martini that was well blended. The ceasar salad was fantastic - it had that wow factor at the first bite. The place is old school classy as a historic hotel should be. Logan, our server, was awesome - he was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks.I've eaten dinner here once a few years ago and still remember the duck and Pinot Noir I had. I would definitely return again.

It wouldn't be a staycation at The US Grant without brunch at Grant Grill! I'm forever torn between savory and sweet, but you needn't make that difficult choice here as your server will immediately grace your table with complimentary house-made mini muffins in a variety of flavors. Sweet tooth thus satisfied, head directly to the savory items on the menu (do not pass go, er, griddle ;)!Both the Seared Duck Breast (Leek and Citrus Risotto, Fried Duck Eggs, Hollandaise Sauce) and Jumbo Lump Crab Quiche (Corn, Bacon, Celery, White Cheddar Cheese, Tarragon Cream Sauce) are elevated choices - the latter also comes with super crispy crushed potatoes and a simple but fresh salad - and will keep you full until dinner time.Service is attentive and accommodating, but be sure to check your bill because sometimes the menu prices don't match... Rather unexpected for an upscale restaurant, so I do hope they fix this!

I highly recommend Grant Grill. A friend and I were going to see a show down the street. We decided to have a light dinner. we sat in the bar area. We opted for two dirty martinis with blue cheese, stuffed olives. They were fantastic! I ordered the Caesar salad with the white anchovies and added the grilled shrimp for a protein. The Caesar was amazing! I noticed a table of four people next to us who ordered Caesar salad as well. Definitely a fantastic choice. We asked our waiter for some bread to go with our salads. They have a lot of different breads to choose from. Sourdough, focaccia, and crackers, I believe.I look forward to dining there again.

The history of the hotel and restaurant is fascinating. It was built by President Ulysses S Grant's son in 1910. The Grant Grill restaurant became known as a dining spot for businessmen and politicians. So much so that in the 50s, women weren't allowed in until 3pm. In 1969 a group of women staged a sit-in as they dined on turtle soup. (So naturally I had to try their legendary mock turtle soup). The truffle gnocchi was delicious but the complimentary focaccia loaf was amazing! I almost ate the whole thing myself! The cocktails were quality and the waiter even brought me out a special bite to try. It was a luxurious dining experience in a breathing restaurantInstagram: @msbusyblonde
