I genuinely love this place for croissants. Most of their pastries are delicious, you can't go wrong with any of them. This is not a bakery you come and hang out in though. It's more of a drop in and go. If you're tired of your grocery store croissants for a day, go and check out this discreet bakery.

Who would have known that a cute little French bakery existed less than 5 mins away from my house?! I never knew until about 2 years ago during the pandemic a friend of a friend posted a photo of these almond croissant sticks. They are the best thing on the menu next to the actual almond croissants. Must gets:-almond croissant stix-caramel croissant stix-almond croissant -bánh mì (demi or long)We've only tried these 4 items so can't recommend anything else until we try more. Super friendly! No indoor seating/dining. Pop in and grab some for take out! Get here early or else the stix sell out :)

A bakery located in house; plenty of parking. They have low inventory but what they make is delicious. The almond croissant and Tasse de crème were the items I ordered. The Tasse de Crème is basically the most delicious crème brûlée in a croissant. The almond croissant has so many layers and a delicious almond paste. Highly recommend.

I was in the neighborhood when I spotted this lone bookmark from years ago and decided to stop in. Grand Pere Bakery specializes in French pastries and coffee. The location is interesting; it's set up in a yellow house off the main road, and there is really nothing else around it for the average person. Plenty of parking. It was near closing when I walked in so the selection was limited, but I was surprised to see a few coffee buns left in the window. They're popular in Malaysia, and a rare find in North America. They happen to be a favorite of mine, so I had to get one. Service was very friendly. For $5, the coffee bun had an enticing aroma of coffee, and a crisp brown crust. The bread was soft and buttery. It got less crisp as time went on so I'd recommend eating it as fresh as possible. My conclusion is that Grand Pere Bakery is a true hidden gem. I would return again (ideally early) for a coffee and some pastries next time!

We drove this bakery in the morning and we ordered almond croissant stix, Tasse de crème and Chocolate crossiants. Frankly, we were very disappointed with the quality of the pastries. The pastries were not fresh at all - the texture of crossiants are not crispy. The quality doesn't match up with the price. The almond crossiant stix was like days old soggy cracker. Tasse de crème - the flan custard was overbaked and the pastry crust was not crispy - not fresh. Don't be fooled by the size of crossiant - it was hollow inside. The inside of the crossiant didn't have honeycomb structure - i.e. the crossiant dough didn't laminate enough. The service was average. We won't go back. They won't earn our business. There are tons of excellent bakeries around.

One star might be too good for this place. Its really gone downhill since it changed owners. The Espresso was good. I was a Customer long ago when this place had the previous owners. In the past there was a nice young man who worked the counter who super was helpful. The Croissants were amazing before and super fresh every time I made a purchase. Now the new owners sell you day old pastries at the same price as fresh and some of them aren't even fully cooked. The Blueberry Cheese pastry was raw on the bottom. The Almond Croissants were my FAV but I wont go back again to this business. I gave my Croissant back to the girl at the counter letting her know it was not fresh. She swore it was fresh but you can tell they aren't fresh when you take a bite. The Croissants are not cheep and if I'm paying that much for a Croissant, I expect a Croissant that was baked today.
