My favorite item to get from here is the El Borracho Cheese Fries with smoked brisket added (for an additional cost). Their queso is so delicious, and the crushed Fritos adds a satisfying crunch. The smoked brisket bumps it up from a side to an entree. I have also gotten the Pulled Pork Sandwich before. The sandwich can be a little bit dry so I like getting the Carolina Gold mustard and sweet bbq sauce on the side. Then, I add the sauces to the sandwich as I eat.The line was long, but the food is delicious prepared pretty quickly after you order. It is worth the wait, and such a filling meal to enjoy while you watch a Padres game in Petco Park!

Don't waste your money on a sandwich. It is more bun than anything. Skimpy on the meat. Lots of fries though. Someone got the fries with BBQ on top; I recommend that instead because they seemed to get more meat. Taste is good though...but it is definitely not as good as Phil's BBQ that used to occupy this spot.

I really like the food at this place - especially for a ballpark - the servings are huge and everyone helped with eating my huge plate of delicious bbq

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and while the meat was alright, it was incredibly dry and cold. The biggest reason for my low rating is the unkind servers who hasn't given what we all paid for. The menu clearly states that the sandwich comes with coleslaw and bbq sauce, neither of which were being given. I proceeded to ask them for the coleslaw which he didn't seem to know was supposed to come with the meal which made no sense. Then I asked for the bbq sauce to which he also was confused about. Was a little frustrating that the workers didn't seem to pay attention to detail when they only sell three items on the menu. However once I put all the toppings on it tasted great and the serving size was large. The fries were also yummy.

Do you want to spend $20 on fries that have no flavor and are full of fat and gristle? The Grand Ole BBQ at the Park is your spot! What a disappointment. I don't mind being overcharged but when the food is fatty AND lacking flavor, what can you say besides 1 star.

Pulled pork fries were the best! Brisket sandwich was good; huuuuugge amount of side fries. Portions are big the meat is delicious and three types of bbq sauces all very good. Service was very polite and food was out right away. Easy to find and in a great location of the park with seating for families and friends.

Great BBQ cooked on site. Both the brisket and pulled pork are good with a big side of fries. Served with 3 sauce options, but I find the "Carolina/mustard" style a bit too much like plain yellow and not the "golden" style I've had in other places Reasonably priced and big enough for 2 light/modest eaters to share

the fries were really good and the brisket was phenomenal. how ever i wasn't a fan of the queso and jalapeno sauce. it was definitely on the pricier side but what isn't at a baseball game! for ballpark food i was very impressed! the service was quick and the line wasn't too long! i definitely recommend!

This place used to be great, up until this season. We have always gotten the Borracho Fries with brisket added, and they never failed us. Brisket was great, and plenty of it layered with the fries, which were also good and well-textured. Topping sauce was great as well. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill fast. Since this season started, we've been getting our usual from GOB, except that the food has been getting steadily worse with each visit. For starters, the portions are significantly smaller than before. The quality of the brisket is not up to past standards, and there is very little of it mixed in with the fries. In fact, on a few occasions there was just a small portion sprinkled over the top, and after a few bites, an almost full tray of fries was left. And the fries are usually over cooked and brittle, not like before. The last time we went, the brisket was basically cut in cubes and not shredded as usual.. Also, there was way too much fat. These guys are definitely slacking off with the preparation, and I now doubt that we will ever frequent GOB at Petco again. It's sad, because the restaurant in Flinn Springs is great and always has been. Someone needs to talk to the staff at the ballpark and get things back up to speed. If that occurs, I'll be right back as a faithful patron!
