We've had grand india take out a couple times now, and decided to sit at the bar while a wait for our takeout. The food is always fantastic here, tonight we ordered the Butter chicken, Saag Paneer, Samosa and Pakora for dinner. We also added some gulab jumin for dessert. This place is a hidden gem in Salem, and always nice for a stop. Next time we will eat in, as my girlfriends kids were mesmerized by Bollywood playing on the Bar TV

The portions were small, especially the amount of Sambar.$3 for Tamarind chutney is very high. Wish I was told this upfront. The seasoning was not good. We ordered the mysore dosa and they were spicy sbut not flavorful. We got our order to go and it didn't take long for it to be ready. This place had many good reviews and I I am very surprised at my experience.. have had Masala Dosa many times and this feel very short.

We usually order from Kashmir in Salem, NH and have never been disappointed, but we wanted to try Grand India because it's a little closer to home. Mistakes were made! Grand Indian was a disappointment. To start, we ordered through their website, totally ok with waiting for delivery...but then got a call 40min later that our order wasn't picked up by DoorDash. DoorDash?? We ordered through the Grand India website and there was no mention of DoorDash. We would have used our account/coupons. So he calls, says it wasn't picked up, we asked for clarification about the delivery and he hung up. Seconds later, we got a notification saying our order was picked up. Could have told us that instead of hanging up. Ok, awful ordering experience, almost an hour for delivery, but it's all about the food, right? We were still excited to try....and weren't impressed. The samosas were salty, palak paneer wasn't flavorful and the Malia kofta wasn't that great either. Ordered two type of naan bread - garlic and rosemary. Both were ok, but very different consistency. Garlic was light and fluffy, rosemary was more chewy like a pizza crust. Overall, we were not impressed with the food and the ordering/delivery was a hassle. Next time we're craving Indian, we'll head to Kashmir.

Incredible food as always from the establishment! The ambience is great and this is a family place that really value service and it's customers. The food is extremely authentic and the owner here really cares about the quality of it all. Whenever I'm here, I always get a dosa and fry a few of their appetizers.

Great food, great service, good portions/value. The ghee dosa, veg hakka noodles, paneer tikka and madras coffee were all - hit the spot, nice servers, food was fresh and tasty

Excellent service and food! We drove 30 minutes to try it out based on reviews and now it's' our new favorite local spot for Indian. The garlic naan was perfection, especially when dipped in the butter chicken masala sauce! We also had the 555 chicken and Gobi Manchurian as apps and were blown away at how good they were!

The food is amazing, reasonably priced and great service. Each time that I've gone, I've asked the staff for their recommendations and it's worked out very well.I've gone to Grand India twice now and am so impressed and recommending to anyone even if you're not a fan of Indian food.

When you arrive at this restaurant, it sends a strip mall vibe probably because it's in a strip mall. DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU! On the inside the place is modestly decorated and very clean. This was the absolute best Indian food I have ever had in my whole life. The Chicken 555 was to die for. The service was polite and prompt and we were asked for feedback on the taste of the food, the menu, etc. I can't wait to go back here again. I ordered the lamb vindaloo extra spicy, my son had the butter chicken masala and my wife had the chicken masala. We each got a naan as well. I would give Grand India more than 5 stars if I could. It's not just the best Indian food I have ever had, but one of the best food experiences I've had in recent memory.

Never had Indian food before, gave this place a try on a lazy Sunday. Food was a 10 out of 10. Portions are fair if you're sharing all your dishes with the table. Rice portion could have been bigger; we got butter chicken, mango curry shrimp, garlic naan, and Szechuan vegetable noodles all with medium spice which was not too spicy at all, perfect amount if your new to heat. The menu was very very big and if you've never been it can be very overwhelming. Would try again.

Grand India has the best Indian food I've found since coming to New England, period. The staff is very nice and the drinks are great too. I live around 45 minutes away but can't help but make the drive. So delicious!
