OH MY GOODNESS. I absolutely adore this spot! My husband works right next door and we meet up for lunch every Thursday and we ALWAYS get their specials! Dareen, Fay, and the rest of the team are so warm and welcoming that it feels like we're visiting family whenever we walk in. A few favorites we've had so far are the salmon special, the Greek lemon chicken soup, and the matcha shake! Dareen also mentioned a mocha shake that is a MUST TRY so I'm definitely getting that next time. If you're in the area or if you just want to come to a spot that feels like home, stop on by! You won't regret it

This is the Thursday special! The salmon is so good with crisped glazed skin on top! Cauliflower purée and veggies! So good! I suggest getting lunch here if you're in the neighborhood! They have daily specials and soups! Family ran restaurant! Amazing people and amazing food! 10/10 highly recommend! I also recommend the cobb salad! One of thee best cobb salads in SD!

I met a friend here for lunch because of the good reviews. The location is surprising because it's in more of an industrial/business area. Based on days/hours it serves the weekday working community being open Monday through Friday 6A through 2P. They do delivery and catering as well as sit down. They have a lot of places to sit. Some seating inside and some outside. Definitely a deli atmosphere. No fountain drinks but plenty of drink options in their refrigerator. they have a very extensive menu and nice selection of vegan food. My friend got the Bacon, lettuce tomato and avocado and I got the roast beef. They were both very good. There is so much on the menu that I want to try. Lots of nice looking salads and lots of good breakfast options as well. Daily specials and it looks like three soups per day as well. It definitely has a family feel, and the people were very friendly.

This place is great! Friendly staff, great food, lots of healthy options. I love how many vegetarian choices there are. Would recommend!

I love this place! It's like a lil mom and pop shop and the family is so nice. I love their sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. My favorite thing to order is the Vegetarian sandwich on Sourdough add bacon. lol yes bacon with my vegetarian. Clearly I'm not a vegetarian but I do like all the veggies including sprouts with cream cheese and avocado and of course my bacon. Stop and try it and let me know if you liked it!

I was impressed with the service and amazed by the food! The Gourmet Island team catered a large lunch event for me and every step of my experience was great. I ordered the holiday feast for an office lunch party of 50 plus ~10 custom lunch boxes and everything turned out fantastic. They worked with our budget and packed everything efficiently and easy to serve. The turkey was moist and covered in gravy, the mashed potatoes were soft and smooth, the stuffing and green bean casserole tasted homemade with high quality ingredients. It all hit the mark of a holiday family dinner I was going for. Thank you!

Let me tell you a story:Yesterday, I hosted a potluck at my company. Various employees signed up to bring enough items to feed 45 people. Well, not all of them were able to. Various reasons interfered with their schedules and we just didn't have enough food to serve everyone. Last minute. What do I do? I phone Gourmet Island Bistro almost in a panic and tell them my dihlemma. They suggested their garden salad and pasta salads to compliment the food I already had on hand. Me? I was trying to make sure everyone had enough food and salad was right on the money. I placed my order site unseen. (You can do that when you are calling an establishment that has aways come through for you). I had never had their large pasta and side salads before. Oh My God! Lets just say that I filled up on that delectable pasta salad. Now I've had pasta salads before and to be honest, I'm not a fan. But this salad was waaay over the top delicious. The olives were the star of the show. Plump and flavorful cuts of olives with the rest of the seasonings and pasta cooked to the perfect consistency. When I say perfect consistency, I'm talking firm but soft not firm, hard and undercooked. The garden salad was another salad that was over the top. Various types of plump cherry tomatoes or red, yellow and purple with fresh slices of cucumber and onions and romaine lettuce. I didn't eat any because I was hooked on the pasta salad. But it sure was pretty and my team loved it. As good as the salads were, it was the fact that they did not pull the whole 24 hour notice for a large specialty salad thing I hear so often from retaurants that cater. The fact that they knew I had a need and were there to help. I didn't ask for salad, they heard my problem and fixed it with salad. Now that's service. Thanks Guys.

WOW! Not only was the food perfect... but the customer service was too! Dareen is a wonderful and accommodating person. She has the warmest smile and most positive attitude! Gluten free and not a worry about cross contamination is a big deal!!! Thank you for the amazing experience

If you think this is just your typical run-of-the-mill deli you will absolutely be missing out. The food is gourmet and made with love. The quinoa salad is on another level. The tortilla and curry soup are jam packed with flavor. They have so many healthy options. We were lucky enough to try the sea bass special for next week. WOW!!The owners are special and you can tell they care about their food and their customers. Don't miss out!!

Amazing, They are Absolutely Amazing. We held our annual symposium near them and they assisted us so attendees could order food in advance to be delivered for lunch as we had a short window for lunch. They got 100% of the meals correct and the food was fabulous and working with them was so easy and a pleasure. Thank you all.
